Recently we have noticed an increase in off-topic ship discussion in a number of threads. Although we have ship appreciation threads, there has previously been no real place for a general shipping discussion.

So this thread may now be used to talk about any and all ships from The Big Bang Theory - past, present, and possible future. You may both discuss why you feel a couple does not work, and you may also defend why you feel a couple does work. This is NOT an anti-thread, but intended more as a place of discussion between the different shipping groups.

If you make a post criticizing a ship, remember that other people are free to disagree and explain why they believe otherwise. At the same time, if you DON'T want to be reading negative things about your ship, then it may be best if you avoid this thread.

Thread Rules

1. Ship bashing is not allowed. (You may certainly state you dislike a ship, but back it up with reasons why.)
2. No bashing of actors or any other RL people involved (writers, producers, etc).
3. Be respectful of all times towards other posters. From the site-wide rules:

We hope that this thread can fill the void that we've noticed, and help to keep other threads more on topic. However, if it ultimately results in more problems, it will be closed.

Let's remember rules 1 and 3 of this thread, y'all.

So, I think everyone probably knows I'm a hardcore Raj/Lucy shipper, but I also liked Raj/Missy before Lucy came along and stole my heart. When Missy returned for Shamy's wedding and she and Raj had a scene, I was lowkey hoping they might get together.

Thoughts?

I never shipped Raj/Missy, but mostly because I wasn't interested by Missy, other than occasional appearances.

I was never interested in Raj’s love life, to be honest.

The one and only ship for me was and will always be Leonard/Penny.

I like Shamy and Howard/Bernadette too, I just don‘t ship them.

Thank you, Brit! Though I would say saying you don't understand something isn't bashing other posters, we just need to make sure we don't insult anyone's taste or intelligence or anything like that. There was quite a bit of mudslinging ten years ago where fans of both ships were calling the other crazy or deranged and our zero tolerance policy for that has worked out well since.

In terms of Raj, I did like the idea of him with Missy, and I definitely shipped him and Lucy. I tried to get invested in him and Anu back when it seemed like the plan was for them to be endgame, but I just really couldn't.
