I thought it was cute - I had no idea it was actually based on Miranda Hart's sitcom (love Miranda Hart), so that's cool. Mayim did some great stuff with her expressions when she breaks the fourth wall. I liked the dancing sequence the best. And great to see that Kyla Pratt is in this.

I did like the dancing sequence and the old man is adorable. I really don't like the fourth wall stuff though. And it seems it's going to go the "woman tries to convince herself she can be happy alone but really finds romantic love" route which just frustrates me because it IS entirely possible to be genuinely happy and fulfilled without a romantic relationship but TV continues to try and say it's not.

Yeah, the old guy had the two lines that amused me the most, but as a whole it's not something I see myself watching more of.

The ratings have been good. The reviews are mixed. Personally, I've been enjoying the show a lot. I didn't expect to...I haven't finished TBBT and I thought I would be stuck on Amy (and Shamy). But Mayim was really great and made me forget about all that. So overall I like it a lot despite its flaws. I hope it lasts a little while.

Episode two felt a lot stronger. I liked them doing quick cuts to different scenes and was happy that Kyla Pratt was featured more here. I'm enjoying it.

I like Kyla in this too. I couldn't place how I knew her...she's the voice of Penny Proud. I don't think I've seen her in any live action. I liked the scene where she's helping Kat figure out what to wear. I also liked the scenes between the bar owner and Kat's baker.

I watched literally just the first couple minutes of the Miranda pilot, because I was interested to see how it compares (and I want to finish the episode eventually), and it reminded me of HIMYM, with those quick cuts to other scenes. I didn't get that impression from the Kat pilot (though they did do it once or twice), but I was wondering if they'd incorporate that more.
