Ugh, i just hope that country can find some resolution.
So me and my hubby started this thing, where we pick a theme to watch that month. July was Sci-Fi July...so now August is Documentaries! Watched The octopus teacher and free britney this week. Both really fascinating! Love having themed month.  __________________

That is such a great idea Aubie!! Although I could stay in Sci fi July all year!

Louis Theroux does some great documentaries - I think some should be on YouTube.
Seaspiracy - definitely made me never want to eat fish again! I just watched Athlete A about the USA female gymnastics doctor who sexually assulted the women for years. Shocking how many people knew and covered the whole thing up. __________________

Yeah Sci Fi July was pretty neat!! Watched movies we would never watch...they weren't all good, but it was interesting!
Oh that lost treasure looks cool! Seaspiracy and Athlete A are on our list. We watched Hired Guns about musicians who get hired by bands but no one knows who they are. It's sad to hear their struggles but my gosh they are all so talented. And Billy Joel was a prick to them. __________________

I haven’t seen mare of east town yet, but I want to. It was a big deal here since it was filmed near here and the articles about her trying and just about succeeding to learn the delco Philly accent was fascinating….especially since I have tried since college to lose a lot of what she was trying to learn to say
Mr JJ and I still can’t break ourselves from saying “wooder”.  our kids correct us all the time I stopped eating shellfish in college after studying virology….. |

They all sound pretty cool!!! The Scottish show you linked was a hoot! After finding out through my mom’s ancestry test recently that we are more Scottish then Irish ( by a lot!), I’ve been more interested in Scotland!
Yes, wooder is water and I am amazed when people are confused when we ask for wooder….. happened while we were away last week. Mr JJ asked the waiter for 6 wooders and the waiter just stared and then asked him to repeat. He repeated , the waiter still looked confused and one of our kids said “water”. We all laughed. I wonder what accent Jason could do the best?? |
