ML........wish we had more people in this world like your daughter. Of course she is a caring person since she chose to be a nurse. With all of my hubby's health issues these past few days we have learned a new respect for those in the health care industry.

As PODMOM said, it doesn't appear that parents are not teaching their children to be kind. Or at least not to hurt others. My dad always told me if I couldn't say something nice about someone, then don't say any thing at all.

that's a good one keepsmiling and even in our thought life we can try to work on positive thinking and not negative stuff about others. ...that is even more of a challenge.

You don't sound old ML it is what is is

Mlette is a role model. I hope this new BF deserves her!

Good for you ML I bet you are way kinder than you think

The new BF seems like a kind person too. She's going to another one of his family parties this weekend (while Mr ML and I go to see Donovan concert!) He has a big family (his Mom is one of 10 kids, like Mr ML). She was home yesterday - I made her vegetarian chili (she took the rest home) and we watched the beginning of Dancing With the Stars. I couldn't believe those people trying to attack Ryan Lochte! Don't they know DWTS is like FF, our 'happy place'? A whole heckling section with matching anti-Lochte t-shirts showed up to boo and jeer (and attack) him. They kicked them out and tackled/arrested the two guys. Nobody was hurt but.. very ugly.

He made a mistake - and is paying for it, in loss of endorsements and international embarrassment - but he also won a ton of Olympic medals for this country and I suppose he should be given a chance. Swimmers don't have a lot of brains (all that time in the pool makes their brain waterlogged?) ;p

Phew, got up crack of dawn today for a pre-work mammogram, and of course stayed up late the night before. Glad this day is getting over.

Quite a lineup on DWTS, from dancing dwarf to Gov. Rick Perry to Vanilla Ice to Marilu Henner (he has the photographic memory/total recall) and Marcia Brady actor (who seems like a kook). Should be interesting (but gymnast girl is going to win it - if I were a betting gal, I'd bet on it.)

I saw DWTSs too...that stupid nasty incident was a shame I hope that doesn't happen again....yes it is our happy place we don't need that garbage

Yea she will

New BF sounds good and tight with his family. Doea MLette seem happier now that she has a nice new BF?

Like I said on the Behr cave off to Lizs tomorrow with sis and podad for the day...starting with seeing AnnLee with her little cheering group for a little boy football teanm that happens to be plaing at my sisters high school ( LIz lives near where we lived before moving to OC....when sis was in 11th grade...not a happy camper for that. It should be cool for her to see the school again after eons. She is 71

Yes, keepsmiling so wonderful to see Jason and Shiri together again!

PodMom that is the cutest thing that AnnaLee is going to be a little cheerleader - they start them early!

Yes, Mlette seems pretty happy. Although she's such a clam about things, it's hard to tell! Looking forward to seeing her today.

Mr ML and I went to a Donovan concert - saw he was playing in Boston, saw the tickets weren't too pricey, figured it would be a nice evening and it was, once we got there (just barely on time!) First my subway pass with $ on it had expired, so I had to get a ticket for cash (Mr ML used my monthly pass), then when we went to switch subway lines, it was mobbed and we had to wait for the next train to come... plus Mr ML was dragging his feet getting ready and only left an hour for us to get there (which turns out was barely enough) - then we had trouble finding the place, then I stood in the wrong ling to pick up tickets for awhile.. But we got there before it started, it was a gorgeous old theater/concert hall and it was just Donovan and his guitar. He sat cross-legged on a sheepskin on a little platform and sang all his old songs to an audience of old fans and we sang along and he told great stories about Paul McCartney and other adventures.. Glad we went!

Is this the picture you're looking for?

(still could do without the peek-a-boob dress she's wearing)...

Yes, it was amazing Donovan could sit crosslegged and play and sing for that many hours and be comfortable.

Mlette and Barbara and I are going to a play this weekend, too "Sunday in the Park with George" by Stephen Sondheim. Cheesh, I don't do anything for weeks and months at a time and now going out twice in two weeks! Having a life!

Ugh, the new style format has begun with my journal and I hate it soo much The type is tiny, plus the stuff the woman told me (yes we're keeping initials and not full first names) was wrong, and now they are asking for the first names (which I changed to initials, based on the samples they sent - which were inconsistent). Did I mention how TINY the type is, for proofreading. I really really hate all these changes. With a Big big unhappy hate... The changes are just stoopid. And so ugly, it makes me want to throw up.

Going to a talk at work on Social Security this afternoon Mr ML is ready to sign up for Medicare next month and SSI and retire. Good luck to us! He thinks we'll be fine; I think we'll be living in a cardboard box eating cat food...

I'm sorry your new work load is so hard hang on not much longer. Maybe you can leave after this year and start 2017 free!

No PodMom I swear the photo wasn't there, when you said 'let's see it here' I thought you were asking for it!

Thanks for the good wishes. Work is really kicking my butt. I'd like to be able to work 2 more years but I don't know if the job will still be here or if I can stand it for that long!!

Yes, it would be great if Shiri and Jason did something. Why can't Jason guest on Shiri's show UnReal?

I see the new Secrets and Lies is coming - the one KaDee did with Ryan Phillippe last time, but the only person the same is Juliette Lewis as the investigator and now it's that cute Michael Ealy suspected of being the killer - he's the blue eyed black fellow who played the nice robot in that short-lived show with Karl Urban, future cops with robot cops.

That was very nice of her! I've glad most of the cast remember Roswell fondly.

Off to the theater today, very exciting! Remembering how much I like the theater and show tunes and thinking I should get involved in community theater maybe when I retire - lots of 'old lady' roles! LOL! I would love to be in 'Fiddler on the Roof.' I like 'South Pacific' too although being about the Navy and WW2 there aren't that many women in it, except the nurses and the island gals.

ML...........You'd be surprised at the many things like theatre that you can be involved with. Just quit that job and jump in.

PODMOM........AL's cheerleading is so cute. I miss our grandkids being younger and involved in everything. I can't tell you how many soccer games, football games, dance recitals, etc. we have been privileged to attend. One grandson played lacrosse
.......I had no idea how that was played, then another grandson was involved in high school musical theatre. I couldn't believe how well he could dance. He didn't follow through in college, switched to accounting and statistics.

Hi WEN and EKUA......
All's well here.

Hi Everyone!
I'm so sorry for being sooo MIA, but I've been really busy, but what else is new?! (sigh)

Still visiting MOTHER practically every other day, and Now my brother Duane, his wife Susie, and I have been cleaning out MOTHER'S apartment as the keys have to be turned in on September 30th! Her apartment manager said that if she wasn't back by September 30th, then she Had to give up the apartment, even tho' the rent was paid on time every month. It's part of their rules that the tenant cannot be away from the apartment longer than 6 months, and MOTHER has been away for over a year now, and will not be going back to her apartment, so it needed to be done anyway. We have been working out tail feathers off for weeks because MOTHER threw Nothing Away and just kept Everything!!! Her apartment was Packed with Everything you could ever imagine!!! She kept menu's, bills, telephone books, news papers from her previous town that she lived in from 15 years ago!!! We threw out sooo much, and I never thought it would ever end!!! We donated to Goodwill box after box after box, and made a Dumb run too which the dumb weight was 1,280 lbs worth of stuff! But tonight the apartment is almost empty as my brother is making one last run tomorrow to get MOTHER'S bed, as his daughter Jenna will be taking it. The mattresses are practically brand new, and very good ones at that, so after he takes the bed, the apartment will be completely empty. We finished scrubbing it down today, and didn't leave until midnight tonight, and poor Duane is sick with a bad head cold and still had an hour's ride home yet. And he'll be back tomorrow to come get the bed. I hope he sleeps in at least before he comes for the bed! His son Evan is going to come with him to help him with the bed, which I'm very glad about!

I still have TONS of pictures to go thru' but I just boxed them up and I'll go thru' them at home and organize them. I've never seen so many pictures in my Life!!! I condensed them all into 4 moving boxes from about 10 to 12 odds and ends boxes. She had them all buried in the back of her closet, and they were very hard to get to because she really had them buried with stacks and stacks of stuff all on top of them! I was seeing some pictures that I had Never seen in my life... like that of my grandparents (her parents) wedding picture! It's absolutely Stunning! I can see that I'm really going to have a Great Time looking thru' all those pictures!
I Hope Everyone is Well and doing Great!!!

Biggest Hugs to All,
Wen
