Thank you MyrnaLynne for the Beautiful New Thread!
Love the Beautiful Flowers and Our Gorgeous Jason!

And it's Rob P's birthday is today, eh? I didn't know that! He's just about the same age as Poddy's Emily, and my Lainie, altho' Lainie doesn't turn 25 till October. :)

Wow, Jason was 25 when he started Roswell? I didn't know that either. He sure made a great teenager tho'! One very nice one! :eyebrows:

Poddy, I want to wish you a Wonderfully Fabulous and Safe Trip! You sooo deserve this! Take lots of pictures so you can share with us when you get back, K? :)

Well, today was my No.2 son's last day of work and I figured he would be really bummed when he got home tonight so I planned to take him out to our favorite little Mexican Restaurant when he got home. I was bummed too, and Lainie was feeling rather sad about it too, so we all needed this... just to go out for dinner.

So, my son came home and he was his normal happy self! He came in and loved up Teddi and gave him a bone, (which he does every night when he gets home from work), and then asks, "What's for supper?"

So I told him that I was taking him out to supper tonight. He was surprised and asked "why?" So I said 'Because today was your last day!"

He said, "Oh. About that. Well, they asked me to stay another month because Ron still isn't ready to come back to work, so when they asked if I would stay another month, of course I said Yes!"

A wave a relief just washed over me. Thank G-D he gets one more month! :pinkie: But hopefully Ron won't come back and my son will get to keep his job! That's what I'm praying for anyway. I know, I'm so selfish, but my son needs this job!

So, we still went out to eat and it was really nice. We hardly ever go out to eat, and I know we just went out to eat on Mother's Day, but that was a special occassion, but normally we don't, or very rarely do we go out.

It looks like my Melissa will not be having a birthday party this year because there really is no time for one. She's got rehearsal all week next week till 9:30pm every day, then the Play Opens on her Birthday, the 27th, and that will be her life for 2 weeks. But she doesn't mind at all about not having a party because she said:"Performing on Stage is the love of my life, so I'm doing what I love, and I'd rather perform than have a party." She's going to be 15.

I'm kind of bummed that she's not having a party, but I quite understand that she has absolutely no time for one. I'll just have to drop off her card & present and she can open it whenever she can find the time.

MyrnaLynne, Thank you soooo much again for the Wonderful New Thread! You are the Best! :blinkie:

Biggest Hugs to All,

Not sure now if Jason was 25 or 26 when he started Roswell -but a long way from the 16-year-old he was playing. Our cutest little 'baby face'! :)

That's wonderful news that your son got a reprieve on being laid off Wen, and how nice of you to make him a cheering up dinner plan - only to find out he didn't need cheering up! I hope he'll get to stay on at that job, because a job in the hand is worth 2 in the bush (as Mr ML found out).

Oh he ended up not working a double shift yesterday, they'd signed him up for a training he already took, but he has to work a double shift today. He got home at 9, laid down til 10:30, and just got up and left for the other job!

MLette's bicycle arrived yesterday in a big box, and we put it together - what a job! And it required not one but two different sizes of Allen wrench (those little L shaped hexagonal pieces of metal). Well, luckily I never throw anything away  and I'd saved all those little wrenches from various furniture kits etc we put together because I rooted around in my tool box and found the two sizes we needed! :D But what a job, especially adjusting the seat and the pole that the seat sits on, etc. Mr ML came by later (he had been sleeping) to tighten up the nuts tighter. She's hoping to take it for a test ride today. It's so BIG though and doesn't have any fenders on it either, so we might get those plastic ones you can attach. And Mr ML pumped up the tires in our other bike (mine, but he's been riding it), so we can go biking together later. :) I wonder how my hip will do with riding a bike? :(

My son came and stayed over last night and took his car in to get fixed this morning at the Honda place - he dropped it off and walked home, and now he's going to walk back and pick it up.

Maybe Melissa will have a belated birthday party once the show is over. Wow, pretty amazing to be too busy at 15 for your own birthday!

WenLuvsJB 05-15-2011 04:32 AM

Yes! It is soooo Wonderful that my son gets to stay on another month at work, and HOPEFULLY longer if Ron can't come back. (Hope, Hope, Hope!)

But I truly do feel bad for Ron. I hope he has friends that are looking in on him because he has no family, never had children, and his wife was his life! Ron is around my age and is in black depression. I don't even know if he's been to any kind of Dr for it. I truly hope he has been. I just pray he doesn't hurt himself.

I'm glad Mr ML didn't have to work that double shift yesterday, but sorry he had to work one today! That poor man having to work while exhausted. :( Hopefully he doesn't have too many of those double shifts!

Yay!... that MLette's bike arrived! :pinkie: But I'm surprised that the allen wrenches weren't included as they usually are! It is a good thing that you had them in your tool box... saved you from the headache of having to go out to buy them.

And that's strange that the bike didn't come with fenders! That's kind of odd, isn't it? Is that how it looked when she ordered it? Just wondering.

Well, I wish you both good luck and good health riding your bikes together!

I haven't ridden a bike in years... probably forgetten how by now! LOL!

Oh, so your son stayed over last night and got his car worked on the next day! But he walked home?! Doesn't the dealership provide a shuttle service for their customers to bring them home and pick them up when the car is ready?! Our dealership does! Actually so does my No.1 son's does too!
And they ALWAYS ask if we have transportation home and/or back to the dealership to pick up the car when it's ready.

No, Melissa's parents already said that there will not be a party for her this year. :( Just too far away from her birthday to have a party. I think that's rubbish! But they are her parents. (sigh)

I hope you have a Great Day today MyrnaLynne!

Biggest Hugs to All,
Wen

MyrnaLynne 05-15-2011 06:55 AM

I don't know if the car place offers a shuttle or not - they probably will drive you over to the subway station. I guess my son just felt like walking, to and from the car place. It was something with the rear stabilizer and they fixed it.

MLette and I ventured forth on our bikes yesterday, although I couldn't find my helmet anywhere - we looked in the basement up to the top floor - no idea where it went when Mr ML moved everything. I can't find anything anymore, the way he moved stuff everywhere! I was relieved that biking didn't hurt my bad hip at all! Although it was tough on my new knee - could have moved the seat a bit higher - that bike has never been adjusted right for me! And the coaster brakes didn't stop much -I think Mr ML wore them out! But I didn't go too fast.

It was fun, though, to ride a bike again - I used to love it as a kid - sort of feels like flying, especially compared to trudging along on my limpy hip, new knee, and sore heel! LOL!

But boy, I was sweaty afterwards, and I suppose we overdid it a bit, for a first ride. MLette was all red in the face. Me too. Don't feel too achey today, though.

No, she got a bike without fenders! I guess she just didn't notice. It's called a 'beach cruiser' - it's very pretty. Had to laugh, it says USA in a couple of places on the bike, but it's obviously made in China (isn't everything?) It's purple and has some white hibiscuses on it. :> But she also wasn't really comfortable - it's hard to get those bicycles adjusted right.

I saw that they sell clip on fenders for bikes that don't have any. Without fenders, if you ride through mud or water, the wheels will throw it right up on your back!

Oh, she did put in a comment online that they should have supplied the 2 Allen wrenches to assemble it! Well, I think most people buy bikes from stores, and the stores put them together for them. I don't know.

Supposed to rain for the next 4 of 5 days - although it was pouring in the night and stopped in time to walk the dog, so I was grateful for that!

My son is still here. They all might go see that movie 'Priest' - too scary for me!

That's really sad about the guy who lost his wife. Sometimes people die of a broken heart, lose the will to live, when they lose somebody like that. I didn't realize he was an older guy. sigh. That's very sad. But happy your son still has a job!

Mr ML's lone day off! We have to go pick up some groceries and aside from that, I don't know.

podmom 05-16-2011 05:17 AM

ML Thanks for the new thread....witty title....lovely flower pix and even some rhyming good fun and pix  :blinkie: :wiggle:

You always think of great titles...I guess dealing in words all day has some perks :D

Thanks girls for your kind good wishes for my trip  and podad and I are do for a vacation and some time alone together....without anyone else to wait on or consider. I am praying that it will be a time of rest and renewal..... and short on stress :look: things can go awry even on vacation.....the hope is grace under pressure and that we can go with the flow :)

ML Good for you for the whole putting the bike together  and then riding  seems like a low joint stress kind of exercise for you.

I think my rear end stabilizer has a problem too....way too big :P

I know...poured here last night too....thunder and lightening as well.

Podad has had unrelenting sun for three weeks. My weather(for the first part of visit) on the other hand looks cloudy and drizzly accept for Friday( which is when we head for the beach place....so that is good) I just hope it doesn't pour. Especially when we can go punting in Cambridge. Really looking forward to that

http://cache.virtualtourist.com/1628...-Cambridge.jpg bridge of sighs( cool name)

http://www.punting-in-cambridge.co.u...ntyourself.jpg

hey Wen ROb Ps age relative to Emilie's is one of the first things she told me ...and that the was horifyingly older

I am glad that your son is keeping his job for now. If someone benefits from this poor mans heart ache I am glad it is your son. It is a silver lining. Nice you guys went out to dinner :wiggle: Maybe you can take Melissa out for a special dinner...just you and her to celebrate the coming year and her success in the play :) a belated BDay private party.

Well I got most of the house cleaned up after the storm of them being here  it is amazing the work and chaos a toddler brings to one. This weekend was really busy( I basically had AL from Friday till Sat evening. We did well and had tons of fun with the big play kitchen Liz and I found at the MOPs resale( great timing ..their once a year....giant...great fantabulous....children's resale was this weekend and I got to take Liz on the night before shopping time. We found quite a few toys and some clothes...it was grerat to get her there  I got some cute pix on my new phone of her playing with it to take with me...even a video....technology is getting unreal. Gonna spend time on the plane trying to understand my new smart phone can't wait till it stops making me feel dumb

Today I need to go to the Verizon store and get my Sim card activated( you need to do that to have it work over seas) IF I have time I will stop at the bank and do this ...set up a new account with the three siblings name on it to put the few thousands Viv has saved so the government doesn't get any of it at moms death( this is from my sister of course...but a good idea) anyway other than that just need to actually pack the clothes I will do the final selecting of from the many I have out to consider. I have lots of comfortable Capri's and no really comfortable long pants...which is what I probably will need the most of regarding their cooler weather...but I can hack being coldish so I see me wearing Capri's....just don't want to look nuts :look:

this is long for me...brb

MyrnaLynne 05-16-2011 06:30 AM

Podmom I hope you get to go 'punting on the Cam' - how very fun and cool it looks! Bridge of Sighs - definitely a great name.

Ack, packing! My worst thing! I'm sure you'll figure out just what to take and you're going to a civilized country so if you forget something - they'll probably have it over there!

Unlike my ubercheap brother-in-law who went to Italy years ago and forgot to pack enough undershirts, so washed his out over and over again - I mean, they sell undershirts in Italy, and probably don't cost a king's ransom - but he was just too cheap to realize that I guess or to spend the money. This is a guy so cheap he took out all the lightbulbs when he sold his house and took them with him!

I'm pretty good at building things although the directions with this bike were the WORST, small blurry pictures, cryptic directions, plus the one book went with every type of bicycle they sold so... You just had to put on the front wheel, the handlebars, the foot pedal things and the seat, but it was tricky - seat was definitely the trickiest! And then Mr ML had to come and tighten it all up, and changed the angle of the seat (so it wasn't right). :sigh:

LOL, I need a whole new chassis, I think, not just a rear end stabilizer!

I was amazed my bum hip didn't hurt biking, but it was a bit too much bending for the new knee, which doesn't have the same range of motion as the old/regular knee. Probably was a good stretch for it - but it didn't FEEL very good!

What great timing for the MOPS toy/clothes sale, and Liz to snag such great stuff for AL (and the grandbaby to be?) - Those toy kitchens are just the best toys! :)

My son came and hung around the whole weekend with us, went back after supper Sunday. Once the weather gets nicer (IF it ever gets nicer!) we'll have to go down and visit him (and his pool... and his tennis court) :D

Our weather is just ridiculous. It's still in the 40s in the morning/nights, and damp, rainy, gloomy. It just won't warm up. MLette and I had gloves on yesterday, walking the dog, and I was sorry I'd washed and put away the rest of the scarves, hats, mittens etc for the season.

Oh well, a lot of places it's 90 already - I hope, when we get some warm weather, it comes in moderation!
:sun:

podmom 05-16-2011 11:05 AM

well...got a call then had to go out....no time now to post anymore.

I will miss you guys...I'll try to post while in England

podmom 05-16-2011 04:45 PM

Hey. I did't make it back before but now I am in the airport and I finally got here on Lbs board on this tint tiny screen......It will take a while to get the hang of this new gadget......but it is nice to play here while sitting around the airport alone.

The shuttle trip was nice......just another guy going to Dublin so we ended up at the same place......so far so good accept I brought a bottle water....oops....glad it was just one I filled myself cause in the trash it went.

I am sitting at a little cafe watching the PPS go by......eating a little salad and madly typing on this tiny keyboard.......no recliner and laptop. Lol......ruffing it already. ;)

Weather was hot here. ML......I have capris on but I am sure it will be araround50 there but I have a jacket

The shuttle guy has been to York and says it's great......he is going to Cambridge too......we haven't found a place to stay there yet.....he said it will be hard....maybe we will be sleeping on the punt. :).

WenLuvsJB 05-17-2011 04:28 AM

WoW Poddy! you made it to England rather quickly! Did you take the Concord or something! LOL! I thought you were going to leave on the 15th late, and land in England on the 16th, but it seems that you flew all in the same day on the 16th and in rapid time too!

Sooo cool that you can still come on FF while there in England! :pinkie: I won't miss you so badly then, if you could come here every now and then... you could Post while PodDad is sleeping or in the loo! LOL!

And Yes! What a Great Name for a Bridge! "The Bridge of Sighs." :sigh:

We have a Cannal in town called, "Putah Cannal" which means: "**** Cannal".

Love, Love, Love hearing from you!!! Have a Wonderfully Fabulous and Safe Time PodMum!!!

MyrnaLynne, I'm so glad that you can still take a bike ride and not hurt yourself! :blinkie: Sounds like you and MLette had a lovely time, even if you pushed it a little too much. You should carry some water with you while you're riding... I'm sure that would help.

Funny, we're getting rain for the next few day too! Altho' we had really crazy weather come thru' yesterday with Thunder and lightening and a downpour of Hail, buckets and buckets of Hail that looked liked it had snowed, for about 10 mins, then it turned to buckets of hard rain, then back to buckets of Hail again for about another 10 mins, then back to Really hard rain, and it just stayed raining into the night! We had flooding around the city, but thank goodness I'm higher than the creek so my house wasn't affected, but all those poor peeps that were below the creek level when the creek overflowed... they didn't have any sandbags or anything! They weren't prepared for this at all! :(

The rain finally let up during the night, and stayed drizzling in the morning, and then it started pouring steady by 11am and has been since. UGH! I wish it would just rain at night and be nice during the day. Rain just depresses me. :(

They say by Friday it will be back up to the 80's and Sunny! Can't hardly wait!

Got to get ready to go to MOTHER'S.

Have a Great Day Everybody! :)

Biggest Hugs to All,
Wen

MyrnaLynne 05-17-2011 05:59 AM

I think Poddy was sending a message from the airport in the US before she left, but either way - glad to hear from her! :D I didn't realize the trip was coming up quite so fast/this weekend/NOW!

Safe travels Podmom - hope you and PodDad won't be sleeping in some boat or in a park!

Continues cold and rainy here - I was going to wear short sleeves today but switched back to a turtleneck - too cold, too rainy.

WOW about the crazy weather Wen! Hail?! Hail is such a weird weather thing. Sounds like an absolutey wild storm and those poor people who live within flooding distance of the creek.

Heh '**** Canal' - nice name! Not!

OH, did you watch 'Castle' last night? What an exciting finale/cliff hanger and what a surprise about who was bad - although they still didn't reveal the 'mastermind.' We hate stories about super-villain type opponents (like Red John). At least the person behind Beckett's mother's death isn't quite as over the top a 'White Whale' obsession as Red John on Mentalist - but poor Beckett is pretty obsessed!

And he finally told her he loved her! About time! (And hopefully, not too late). Great show! I'm so happy Nathan Fillion has a hit show (that isn't cancelled too soon).

"Dancing" was very exciting too - Poor Kym was practicing some crazy lifts with Hines and he slipped and fell right on top of her with all his weight, while she was upside down, so landed on her head/neck - She couldn't feel her arms and they rushed her to the hospital on a back board/neck brace - Yet amazingly, there she was on Monday, dancing! A miracle!! She could have been paralyzed for life, right then and there. Reminded me of poor Christopher Reeves, although I suppose Hines isn't quite as big as a horse. SIGH. There were tears all around last night. Hines was crying, he was so upset/sorry/relieved he didn't break her neck! Can you imagine!? They should have practiced that stuff on a mat, but even then, she probably would have been hurt, the way they fell down.

Chelsea and (obnoxious) Mark won some special cha-cha contest, so get 15 extra points, putting them way ahead. I've always thought she was the best dancer, from the first day, but he is just too annoying! I don't think it looks good for Ralph Macchio, although you have to root for him, he's such a decent guy! And he loves to perform so much. I hope this show will lead to him getting some good performing jobs. At this point, anybody could win Dancing. Even Kirstie could win - which would be a victory for 60 year old fat gals everywhere - lol - but I really don't like her, she's such a kook, and Maks doesn't need his ego to get any bigger than it already is by winning! (I don't think he's ever won.)

Well, it was a late night and I'm hoping I'll stay awake today! I was sound asleep yesterday, while trying to edit a paper. Glad I went back and checked what I'd done, because I deleted half a sentence! :embarrassment:

Both editors showed up again, after being off for their meetings and decided about a ton of stuff, so I have lots to do again! Feast or famine.

Very very excited about Podmom 'crossing the pond' and visiting England. I saw Rick Steves on TV (he was in Berlin) and thought of Poddy! He seems like the nicest man, too. :) Reminds me of a minister.

I can't believe the TV season is getting over already. Excited about the summer shows coming back like Eureka and Warehouse 13 - and not having too many shows to watch. Even the finale of 'Grey's looks exciting - watched the last few with MLette. It's such a soap opera, though.

WenLuvsJB 05-17-2011 11:15 PM

MyrnaLynne, Oh! That makes sense now! I couldn't figure out how Poddy got to England so Fast! LOL! I did know that her trip was coming up, but she said that she'd be leaving on the 15th and getting there on the 16th, but I guess she changed her flight plans because she left on the 16th instead!

I hope she had a good flight and got some sleep on the plane, and made her transfer from the one train to the other with ease too! She's really brave, because if it were me, I would have had PodDad meet me at the airport and rode the trains back with him! (But I'm a big baby!)

And Yes! I hope they find a Hotel or something like one to stay at while they are in Cambridge! (Finger's Crossed!)

And I hear you about wearing long sleeves because I'm wearing them too with this rainy & cold weather. It's just so dreary out. UGH! And I have a Dr's appt tomorrow and again on the next day! Blah! I don't want to go to either of them in this lousy weather. :(

It's sooo odd for us to be having rain, and snow in the mountain this late in the Season. Crazy, crazy weather... especially with that crazy hail storm too! Our weather has just gone Wacky!

And yes, those poor peeps that got flooded out because no way did they see this coming or the amount of heavy rain that came... they just weren't prepared for this! Very sad. :(

And yes, isn't that AWFUL that they went and named that Cannal 'Putah' which means '****'! I don't know why they did that all those years ago?!

Yes! I did watch 'CASTLE' last night and it was sooo good! But I suspected that it was Roy who was the 3rd cop, but I didn't want him to DIE! And yes, Castle finally told Kate that he loved her while she was awake, but watch, she probably won't remember because her body was in shock or something like that! Argh!

Castle did tell her once before, right, when they were locked in that meat freezer and they were freezing to death, and he said it then, but she had just passed out before she could hear it. Wasn't it something like that?

I don't care for Kirstie either, but I guess a lot of people do, for some odd reason. I just don't see why? But she's been getting the votes! G-D Forbid if she wins!

WoW! It is a good thing you went back and checked on your editing, and found that you deleted half a sentence! Good catch!
And now you are swamped with tons more to do! So true, Feast or Famine! I still don't know how you do it all alone like you do?! You are like a one woman army! A Super Woman!!! I give you a lot credit... you really do work sooo hard! If you ever decided to up and quit on Mr & Mrs Boss, they would NEVER find only one person to do your job... Never, Ever!

You are so right! Rick Steves really does seem like a Minister! He just has that way about him... like a gentle spirit about him. You really hit the nail on the head with him with describing him!

The TV Season really is getting over so Early! I think we are getting less of a TV Season. Each Year it gets shorter and shorter! We definitely are getting ripped off!

Used to be 26 eppies per Season, but that hasn't happened in such a long time. :(

From the pre-views of 'Grey's', it looks like Meredith loses it all!

I was checking my TV Guide on line for next week, and I noticed that 'GLEE' comes on at 9pm instead of 8pm! I don't know if it's true, because my TV Guide might be wrong and it just might be a typo, but I was surprised to see that anyway.

Speaking of 'GLEE', did the actress that played Sue's sister Really die?! I didn't see in the "FAST" rolling credits an 'In Memory Of' portion, did you? How sad if she really did. :( She seemed really sweet.

I hope you are having a Great Week! :)

Happy & Safe Travels PodMum!

Biggest Hugs to All,
Wen

MyrnaLynne 05-18-2011 09:24 AM

No, I didn't see that about the person who played Sue's sister on 'Glee' - but she did seem pretty up in years, and we know Downs' syndrome folks don't live to a very old age. :( That was the coolest thing they did on the show, I think, giving Sue that sister, giving her some redeeming quality/a soft side, and then her making Becky her 'sidekick'/helper. :)

Wow, MLette and I watched the finale of Hawaii 5-0 we taped, and that was the same thing - the boss turned out to be evil, and to get shot (by the other evil guy) but then it was pinned on the good guy and he got arrested and everything is hitting the fan/falling all to heck! Talk about cliffhanger (lol, and Hawaii has lots of cliffs).

MLette spotted the boss guy on Castle acting uneasy when they realized there was a '3rd cop' - my husband saw it too. LOL, she said as soon as he said "retirement" the other week, she know they were going to end up killing him off. So sad! He was a nice guy, family guy, good boss, who just made one youthful mistake. :(

LOL, we said the same thing - I bet Kate won't even remember Castle saying he loved her, because she was in shock or whatever. Poor Castle!

Oh my gosh did you hear about Schwartzenegger and the 'secret baby'- 10 years ago! What is up with these guys? MLette said he was a 'groper' too, harassing women on his movie sets, etc. Dirty old Ahnold.
:nono:

It does seem like the season just started and now all the shows are getting over. LOL, I thought it was just from being old and time passing faster and faster like it does. ;)

Ralph Macchio got the boot on Dancing last night. I don't think he was surprised and everyone expected it. I hope the football guy or the Disney gal win - they are both good. I have no idea why Kirstie Alley is so popular. The judges seem impressed with her too, almost intimidated by her. No idea. I mean for a gal her size and age, she looks pretty good and is pretty light on her feet/can dance, but she just seems like a kook!

I'll have to give all my votes to one or the other of those other two - I'd be fine with either one of them winning, they are both good. Hines is just such a sweetie though - he's smooth, where the other gal is very precise.

Yes, Podmom is very brave to go it alone and find PodDad. I'd want somebody to meet me and hold my hand too, I think. Although I've done a lot of travelling alone, because of Mr ML not flying.

Yep, still dreary here too. Never mind long sleeves, I brought out a winter hat again, it was so cold today. Long sleeves, a long sleeve jacket over that, and a raincoat over it - and a winter hat! LOL! It's that lousy here. I didn't put on the gloves (but I have them in my coat pockets, just in case). I'd washed that winter hat and put it away for the season, and had to drag it back out again.

The whole next issue just showed up for final proofreading, so I'm working on that today. I just have to make sure they did all the corrections correctly and then they can fix what's wrong and print it. Ta-daa! Then I get to throw away/recycle all the folders and paper and paperclips etc from those manuscripts and make room for the new ones! :)

Yes, looks like Grey loses her job, her hubby, the whole enchilada. We were laughing when, in the commercial, she goes home and even the SHEETS are gone! LOL! What guy moves out and takes the sheets with him? ;) And Christina is pregnant, crazy ol not-mother-material Christina. That red haired guy who married her got no bargain! Mr ML was watching that show, but he lost interest with the whole lesbian wedding/baby thing - he doesn't like that character so much.

I can't believe my poor friend who had the big operation had to go back to work this week already! It's way too soon. At least she started back with half-days, the way I did. Operations like that are a big big shock to your system. But she's a very go-get-em person and it's really hard for her to stay home and stay put for long!

Oh well.. back to the proofreading

Cheers girls.....It's brilliant to see you :)

Yes Wen..ML had it right(she's not an attention to detail(glad you caught that 1/2 sentence btw) editor for nothing :D

Well I got here no problems. The flight was cramped and uncomfortable :P I sat next to a nice woman so that was good. I slept a bit....cat napped between 12 and 3 am. It is so hard to be in that little uncomfortsble seat for so long. Other than that all was well. catching the train was easy....podad told me exactly what to do and what it would be like and so I knew what to expect. The transfer went well too. I sat with a Britsh couple for the second part and the husband never shut up...it was mostly fun but kept me from concentrating on the beautiful countryside rolling by.

I arrived in Hull around 1pm.....I checked in then went out to explore....I walked all over......all the way down to the marina and the river Hull and looked around the mall( did that first and had a coffee and a muffin) got back to the hotel room around 4ish.....rested...dosed off a bit.....then got dressed for dinner(a new pair of capris..city kind with a white long sleeve tea and this cool grey scarf I got at Cold Water Creek that is light like mesh so good for summer. Not that it is hot it is cool here so I am glad.

Anyway Podad got back from work around 6:15. He was really excited to see my..it was cute and I was very glad to see him too. SO he took me for a walk to the old( and I mean old) part of town which was so cool to se. He showed me some of the sruff he had discovered over the weeks then took me to the most awsome old old pu for a drink. He had "Bitters" a kind of british light beer I had a glas of red wine and we just enjoyed the amazing atmosphere. hen we walked across the street to another nice place and had a delisiuos dinner. It was just all very fun and happy. I couldn't hav easked for a better first night. I was wired and not sleepy so when we got back from the dinner I stayed in the hotel loby and had another glass of wine while podad went up to the roon to ahem....do something I've been around plenty of times and we both new I'd enjoy the loby more  SO I get a bag of "crisps" and am muchning away...looking at the tellie but can't here it and I see about stupid"Arnie" as they call him here. hat a dope sigh....anyway there is a man in front of me that I am paying no mind to. When podad comes back down to the lobby he says hi to that guy and introduces me to Dave the very nice bRIT THAT HE HAS BEFRIENDED...THE ONE THAT IS DRIVING HIM TO WORK EVERY MORNING WHO SPENDS oops the week here then drives two hours home every weekend. SO I got to meet him and he is very nice. We talked for a while then all headed to bed. ENd of day one in England

Today I didn't get up till 9:30 :O jet lagged.. Missed breafast but had a cup of coffe in the room ...took a nice long shower.....I did arrange for a place in Cambridge...booked online then called to be doubly sure. It looks nice...in the town central a..a B&B called Home away from Home. SO that is a relief. DID my hair and all then headed out. went back to that pub for lunch and ended up talking to the local post man while I had steak pie and chips which was very good. He told me all about the history of that building and Hull,...the pub has been around since the late 1500s. I had a great time talking to him and then went to an art museum. I went into a bakery that mostly had meat pies of all sorts...also little friut pie. VEey BRrtish. I got an apple one to eat toning after dinner. I am loving just being surrounded by ppl with British( Yorkshire) accents...."lovely" no time to spell check...just say the time...have to get ready for dinner bye
