My parents only listened to 50s and early 60s music when I was growing up. Then I listened to 80s and 90s so I’m a bit lacking in late 60s and pretty much most of the 70s music
I have a gap decade there.  |

My dad was never a music fan really….my mum played The Beautiful South, Meatloaf, Celine Dion….then she started liking the same stuff as I did….we used to go to gigs and festivals together. She’d be right at the front with her cup of cider __________________

That is so cool about your mom!!! Festivals together!
I am conscious of listening to current music with my kids since my mom never would. Growing up she’d only listen to the “oldies” station on the radio....I was always so But, I always slip a classic 80s or 90s song now and then!! MrJJ tries to play his punk and grunge with the kids, but they don’t like it yet!,! |

Yes she's pretty cool. My best friends mum was the same so the four of us used to always go together - so much fun. I love we have the similar taste - good for car journeys!
Aw hope they start to like it soon! Definitely when you get older you realise there's nothing wrong with liking the same music as your mum and dad __________________
