Friday Night Lights OT Thread #15: Because We Never Want To Leave Dillon
The all encompassing Friday Night Lights thread to discuss any and all actors from the show and just the show in general because even though it's been 10-years since it premiered it remains one of the most beloved shows out there. And even we sometimes have to admit the show was about more than just Tim Riggins.

In an era when sports television was supposedly at its nadir, when elite storytelling was supposedly only the work of prestige outlets like HBO and AMC, Friday Night Lights emerged as the quintessential show about American spirit and uplift at a time when the moral and economic bedrock of our Country seemed most in doubt. Gone too soon. Appreciated too little. Treasured by those who followed it. That was Friday Night Lights." -Grantland Clear Eyes, Full Hearts, Couldn't Lose - An Oral History of Friday Night Lights |

Yes! This is the one I read too.

There was an interview with Brian Grazer recently where he talked about the new FNL movie and then apparently the movie is going to lead into the new rebooted FNL series which will be done by the Dowdle brothers who did Waco with Taylor.
It's still going to be set in Texas but not Odessa or Dillon but an entirely new city. |

Yeah completely new reboot. Basically they're attempting to springboard it with the movie.
It's supposed to take place in Del Rio or something like Del Rio. |

The only thing that might keep my attention away is just I'll be trying to keep track of the game and pictures, etc.

I just watched the first episode of the Mayor of Kingstown, with Kyle Chandler, on Paramount+. Looks good so far. It’s set in Michigan.
The corruption in a town is far reacting. You’d like to think this is just a fictitious story. It’s probably far truer than we’d ever want to know. ETA: there are two episodes available, they both released today. I’m guessing this will be a week to week situation. |
I think it's only available on Paramount +?
Ugh...I will not pay for another streaming service. |

I'm not sure why they don't put it on the network....I know they usually air Yellowstone on the network? It's so confusing.
