I'm actually glad we ended up watching this instead. Thanks.
Agreed. Although I always thought it was hot, lawnmower and all.

Me too.

So... I got distracted for a bit. Why did he tell Paul that they hired the other doctor? Because they were feeling guilty for having lied to him? I can't remember.

I think it was just to come clean about everything since the ruse was over. Brendan really did come to like Paul. Well, and they kinda had to or else he could've thought, "oh well, they have a backup," and just left.

This describes me too. Story of my life. The only thing that saves me is that I'm somewhat naturally suspicious of people's intentions toward me because I get hurt so easily.

This movie is just sooo cute. Taylor's character doesn't die! So there's that.

Taylor's character lives, which is always a bonus. But I hate that he ended up with that witch Kathleen...I think it would have been kind of cute if he did actually have a good relationship with his fiance and both of them were in the town attempting to be wooed. But maybe that would have been too much like Funny Farm.

OR she wasn't a bitch the whole time and they ended up together.

Yeah, if she showed any ounce of interest in him. I have no idea why he was so into her.

She was the only female of breeding age in the place! He didn't have any choices!

A podcast where they discuss The Grand Seduction. I thought it had to be old because they think Taylor is still dating or married to Rachel, but it’s relatively new.

There are a few cute anecdotes in here that I'd either forgotten or not heard before. Like that Taylor actually sat and saw "patients" for three hours and just listened and reacted to their problems organically. And the dog at the end.

The guest loves Taylor and the male host. The other one is indifferent. The guest hosts sounds oddly like Rachel McAdams too, so that was distracting. But they overall liked the movie. Though the one host who was indifferent to Taylor and really liked Leann's character...which I obviously disagree on both counts.

I don't like that tweet though. Sounds too negative.

He's the one that likes Taylor. He just says that it's a case of being in projects that don't pan out that he is not the problem. He justifies it later in the podcast. He goes over his projects and is just like "he's not the problem in any of them" basically. But poor Taylor is kind of cursed, whether we want to admit it or not.
