I have been listen to the songs few times now. All the songs are very good. But these are my top 5 as of now.

I didn't get around to listening to the album until later so by then The Anthology version was already out and so I had the songs all at once. Which was a blessing (love she did seem to release all the songs and we didn't have to wait too long) and a curse so to speak (trying to listen to that many songs back to back can be a little daunting).

First listen thoughts are overall I liked it and some songs stood out to me but I think this is an album that has to grow on me where the more I listen to it the more I'll love it.

I've listened a few times too, still hold the same opinion. My top 5 now are:

1. My Boy Only Breaks His Toys
2. Fortnight
3. I Can Do It With a Broken Heart
4. The Tortured Poets Department
5. Down Bad or thanK you aIMee, I keep going back and forth.


My least favs are Robin, Cassandra and the Manuscript cuz they are just too slow for me, but I'm sure they'll grow on me.

Forgot to say in my top 5 post that there is no order. Because they all switch around all the time.

I also really liked I Can Do It With a Broken Heart, The Albatross, LOML, Chloe or Sam or Sophia or Marcus and I Look in People's Windows. But like all of the songs are good, but these songs I have mentioned is standing out the most to me.

I can agree with you on that. I take some breaks inbetween to do some other stuff just so I don't get overwhelmed. And I try to take that break between the regular album and The Anthology.

I'm OBSESSED with I Can Do it With a Broken Heart right now!

It was hard to listen to 31 songs for sure, when part 2 came out I was too overwhelmed lmao. I feel like she could have done like 13 songs again, released like 5 extras at 2am and then waited to release more. She could have even done a different title and technically a 12th album like she kinda did with evermore and folklore.

I selfishly love getting so many songs but sometimes I wish she would slow down lol.

But I dont agree shes doing it just to "stay on top" or make money or whatever, i think she just genuinely loves writing and recording, and i think shes stopped holding back her work and just releasing everything.


I am hoping and praying we get a lot of vault tracks for reputation whenever that comes out. (sorry off topic lol)

I think Taylor definitely is a talented song writer and definitely likes to keep busy with making music. She loves her craft.

I get that. But I think she just wanted all of the songs out there at the same time to really close a chapter of her life and on to new things in the future.

I totally agree. She just loves writing and making music and I don't think she will ever truly stop. Slow down yes, but she will always be making music.

Im not sure where TPPD ranks on all my other albums. I know i like it better than her first three, fearless/evermore and probably even midnights. But i think 1989/reputation/lover/red are still ahead... for now. lol. Having 31 songs kinda gives it a major edge!

I just totally disagree with all the rankings I've seen lol! The manuscript, florida and so long london are def. near the middle somewhere for me, not at the top.

Now my favorite is My Boy Always Breaks His Toys. lol. Everyday I swear, its a new one.

I think for me, its liek the ones I really like dont really hit OBSESSED levels yet, nbut I think overall ALL of the songs are better than some other albums where Ive had ones I didnt care more. On this album I dont really want to skip any of them, evem the ones I dont love yet cuz every time i listen I like them more and more.

I agree about those songs. They are good, but they are not my top songs. And I think I need more time before I can do a real ranking. I'm planning to do the TS song sorter when it is updated with the new songs. Maybe then it will help me with the list.
