First, I'm sorry for seeing this thread be put up, Missy and Jen you two were/are great mods and dedicated so much time to this board. I tried stopping by when I could

Second, I know how hard it is for them to be even considering putting this thread up. I've closed two boards I've loved modding so I understand totally where this is coming from. it's hard now days to keep boards active on a daily basis esp if it's only the mods posting, I've been through that and trust me it does get tiring after a bit of time even with new projects. and as much as you love the actor/actress. If the board does close yes, it would be sad but there's a thread on twilight saga board and celebrities thread will be reopened or opened for Kristen. as much as it's sad to see it go all good things must come to an end.

thank you for saying that it is hard to think of so that's why we wanted to get our poster's thoughts on it bc we really do love the board but it's hard to keep up with after awhile.

Hmmm, personally I don't see why this board should close. If you guys don't feel like moderating anymore, I'm almost certain that there are people who want to dedicate the time and effort into making sure this forum stays around.

Plus I've seen boards do a lot worse than Kristen's and refuse to close, so I don't see the point. I would sure keep posting (I'm just doing my finals so I can't for another day or two).

I do not want this board to close down! Kristen and her board is the reason I registered on and even when I haven't posted regularly or when I've been away from for longer times, I still think of it as my sort of home base here, very dear to me.

I'm definitely prioritizing this board right after my own now. Will post and help. Not that the post count needs any help, but if you two are making like 99% of the posts then yeah sure.

There's no reason why this board should close considering the counts it gets. If enough people are interested, we can just open new mod positions for new mods to take over.

The point is no one has shown any interest for a long time. No one has shown any interest in posting in other threads other than a certain few. You can't keep a board going just for a thread or two. The only reason this board has lasted this long is because me and Missy would talk for hours almost every night and it's been like that for the last couple of years. This was inevitable. We can't be the only ones keeping it going.

Just because we don't want to discuss rumors about her private life and don't agree with you on them doesn't mean we're unwelcoming. Maybe if any of you showed any interest in discussing her movies or Kristen in general, but you haven't until now when there is the possibility of closing.

Maybe if you guys feel that way, the best thing for the board would be for you to step down and let other people apply and moderate the board. It seems like there is still enough interest in this board to keep it alive. So closing is definitely not the best option. In my opinion.

I really can't imagine this board getting closed, considering how well known Kristen is and how much she does, and also considering your previous post counts. I understand that it gets tiring to post on a board when it's mostly just you and your co mod, we had that happening on Lea's board in the past too, and it wasn't fun. But things change and if Kristen isn't doing something at the moment, things might be different in a few months.

And well, the key to have more active posters is definitely be welcoming and encourage them to post more. I don't think anyone should be judging posters for sticking to only certain threads. Maybe these posters just don't have time to post on more threads, or maybe they have a different reason, but at the end of the day they are still helping you on your post count and showing interest in the board, and imo we should be grateful for all of these people.

Anyways, I'm glad that it looks like the board won't have to close because it really would be a shame if it did.

I don't think closing the board would be a good decision considering the post count and especially since there are a lot of new projects coming up which would be nice to discuss about.

In my opinion there is nothing bad in posting in some particular threads more than others. People should feel free to post where they feel like they have something to add and discuss. Especially if they are new posters in the board. Maybe they feel intimidated at first and it is always nice to make them feel welcomed and respect their opinions. So they'll have the tendency to come back and post more.

I don't want this board to be closed either and like Catia said, that's exactly what I am saying. And trust me, Soaps board is not exactly active with post count because we only have few posters who only stick with less than five threads but in few days in between so it's tough to keep up with the post count when you only have few posters sticking with that but to see them feel so free to express whatever they want to say about the show and everything, it makes me feel good to know that this board is still here for that. Despite the fact that we don't have active posters, at least the post count is pretty decent and I would rather have that than close it.

I am sure that most of us who post on certain threads will definitely help the post count. You don't have to worry about that because even few threads help a lot, I would know because it happens with my board as well.

But no one has been here for a long time and its just the two of us. It seems really unfair that we were the only posters for so long but now is the time to care. The board feels like its done its time since there's been no interest I'm years by anyone but the two of us. If people really didnt want it to close, they would have been here talking about her new events and her movies but no one was so you can't really blame us for wanting to close when no one is even on the board besides being on a couple of other threads.

As there is interest is keeping the board open and you clearly don't see it working out, why are you so against letting them try? If there are no applicants, the board can still close but I feel like they should get a fair shot.
