Can't say I was keen on Kristen's role in this. A total sex object. I remember being baffled by Kristen's interviews in Cannes 2012 where she claimed how "empowering" Marylou was to play because she's a strong woman... Um NO. She sits there waiting around for a guy who married her when she was underage, and uses her for sex then goes back to his other wife. Marylou is there for men's pleasure and seems happy with that until the last half hour of the movie.
 They should have focused more on Marylou's chemistry with Sal (Sam Riley). They had a much stronger emotional connection. __________________

This movie and Kristen's performance were simply upstaged by the Twilight Saga and that's not Kristen's fault. Mary Lou and Bella have nothing in common other than Kristen and that was the entire point Kristen wanted to play a character who was completely different from Bella Swan and she did that.
