Cool TFTNT!

Okay so yesterday I finally saw this movie and it has become one of my top faves! Now I've seen a lot of movies based on teen rape but this one spoke volumes. I just loved the poetry feel it had to it. We got to be inside Melinda Sordino's head as the events unfolded around her.

What I related to most in this movie was the depression. I've had my depression get so bad to the point where speaking feels pointless. And like Melinda I tried my best to make the pain obvious but no one really paid much attention they just rolled their eyes and thought it was for some kind of attention. There have also been times where I just wanted to hide away from the world and just never come out. You're lost in your own mind and you want to escape but you can't escape from the human body. And it sucks because you are trapped; lifeless and just going through the motions while the world just continues to move; you're in suspended animation.

I really enjoyed the symbolism of this film as well with the whole tree thing. It started off with the tree being nothing, then it had a few branches but it was still lifeless. When it did gain some leaves the leaves feel off but by the end the tree was full of life. A great way to describe Melinda's own stages in life.

I loved this movie so much that I've made a few icons and vids and hope to make even more later on.

Thanks. Yeah the second one is my favorite too. I am such a huge fan of Casting Crowns. I have several other song choices for which I'll be using as vids.

LOL yup, I'm just full of ideas this week!

So glad I saw this movie because now I can't get it out of my mind. Anxious to go home this weekend so I can get the book.
