Amy gives birth to her son and has a difficult time adjusting to life as a mom. Ricky takes a liking to fatherhood and forms a friendship with Ben; and George and Ashley surprise Anne by moving out.

Why does the episode description not surprise me? I guess it's because many of us figured that's how it would be. So cool to see that some of us seem to be on the same page as the writers!

Thanks for the thread! I can't believe it's already the season finale. Hopefully this hiatus goes by faster than the last one lol.

I hope Amy gives birth earlier in the episode, so we see a lot of scenes with the baby.

I know season finale all ready. Very hard to believe that we've had a full season of 23 episodes!

It's really going to be fun, this episode. I kind of want Amy to have the baby mid episode this way we still get to see everyone waiting around for the first half and then have the second half with the new baby.

I think the baby will be born around midway through the episode. She'll need to be given the clear to leave, wait to be discharged; everyone will go in to meet the baby, I imagine there to be a Ricky/Amy scene, the naming bit... all of that before she goes home so...

ETA- That preview seriously gives me goosebumps, especially when it says "... a family will be born" and show Ricky walking over towards a cooing baby. Man.... it really moves me!

I think that the baby may be born in the first 20 minutes because she has to get the clear, everyone come sees the baby like you said, Ashley and then the rest can be baby time..lol

That promo gives me the goosebumps too, Ashley.. When they say that and Ricky walks in.. OOH!! Gives me goosebumps just thinking about it and then I hear the baby cooing which just makes me melt..

I am so excited for this episode, I thought the Band Camp wait took forever this is just as bad! I can't wait to see what they name the baby, but what I'm really looking forward to is seeing Amy & Ricky with their son. Ashley, the preview moves me too. I had tears in my eyes the first time I saw it, Ricky's face is priceless!!

This episode has been just as bad. We waited 22 episodes for Band Camp (with a high assumption that they would do a band camp episode) and we've waited 23 episodes for this special child to be born!

I totally love the episode title for this one.

^- LOL I know right!

Okay so I've been thinking, you know how sometimes the acting is a little wooden at times? Well I got to thinking, I was watching 7th Heaven, well parts of it anyways and there was a lot of wooden acting on that show. Given that this is another Brenda Hampton production, the wooden acting is a very good thing I think. I mean 7th Heaven lasted what 11 years? I doubt well get that much from Secret Life but we're bound to get some life out of it (aside from the baby of course).

Good point, Ronnie. And yes, I know exactly what you mean about the acting (not so much the acting because that'd imply on the actors abilities) but the storylines for sure being "wooden". I'm hoping we get quite a few season with this show as well, even if they do the 4 years of high school and fast forward a year or two into the future like they did on OTH.

I would love more seasons and if BH plays her cards right, she will have a lot of seasons to go..

It's weird how I was not a fan of 7th Heaven because all of the characters got on my nerves and that was the number one reason why I didn't tune into the Secret Life, but now it's weird because I find myself an addict for one of her shows..lol

We also have to consider the network and how positive they feel this show to be. It's been one of their best hits. I don't want to think the worst but it wouldn't surprise me if they pulled a USA network. (The 4400 was their highest rated summer series and it was still running strong and they yanked it after 4 seasons. I was so bummed.)

yeah, and what about KyleXY.. I thought that they were the highest rated show also, but they yanked that and left it with a cliffhanger.. Even though, I wasn't a big fan of that show, but they ended it on a cliffhanger.. I bet those fans were

..lol

But the point is that anything can happen with any show.. Good things always come to an end, but at the same time, it isn't for SL yet..lol

And yes, Nyrie.. 4 more days and I'm excited.. I can't wait to see Ramy with their son, I can't wait to see the baby, and to know what they name him.. It's killing me..
