Peter looks so much younger than Cole - it's amazing what a difference 10 years makes.

PLus, they're trying to make Cole look older than Josh - I believe Josh said Cole's supposed to be in his late forties now.

ALSO i have read some weird things in fic where people thought Peter was 38 in the first season, like, Nope.

I think the disparity of the age of Peter is that in the original script he was supposed to be 35 but obviously when they got Josh for the part they brought the age down to Josh's age. ( I saw the transcript of the original notes on the Pilot script where it described Peter Bishop's character and demeaner and in that it mentioned he was 35). After all in season 4 he describes himself as a 32 year old man. The only person who never aged was Olivia as in season 5 Peter described her as a woman in her late 20s. How old was she when she brought Sanford Harris to justice as a prosecutor for the marines?

That whole age thing was a bit odd because of the history or back story.

For instance, what Lesley said about the Olivia and Harris thing. Also, with Peter's lengthy history of what he has done over the years. Plus the fact that Walter was institutionalized for 17 years, but in one episode Walter talks about how he was there when Elizabeth killed herself because he mentions that he knew what had happened when he got home and the water was running. So how old was Peter when his mother killed herself?

He was there when she killed herself in the alternate timeline in s4 where Peter died in 1985.

Thanks for that. When I'm watching Fringe I remember that stuff, but afterward I sometimes forget.

I think the Peter character was loosely based on the Leonardo De Caprio character in Catch Me If You Can who I think was based on a real life person, who started his con-man life when he was 16.

Peter's mother killed herself when Peter left home in season's 1-3 but in season 4 she killed herself when Peter died. In both cases she felt she had nothing left to live for after Peter had gone. I wonder when the Machine got built in the first 3 seasons as most of what we saw then was a paradox! We were told that William built it in the season 4 timeline, from an idea of Walters.

As many times as I've seen Fringe, I still get things mixed up in my mind. I should know all this by now.

I still see some things that I have missed in previous watches, but it is still fun to talk about all the little inconsistencies and background information. I will be watching some Fringe next week when I am at my mother's.

If I am not here much every day please understand little emergencies sometimes happen when I am there so don't always have the computer time. I am travelling on Tuesday so may not be here then but should get on line on Wednesday.

Still haven't seen any Fringe as my brother has the box set. He is bringing it round tomorrow so I will have it for tomorrow night when TV just shows repeats of the shows I am following.
