I just watched Falling Down. It's interesting how much the writers were able to incorporate drama and humor. They did a good job with it. Most of the dramas I watch aren't as funny. I notice how Pacey and Joey savor the kiss at the dock. I really like those lingering kisses

Yeah, I love that kiss too. I love how Pacey was vulnerable with Joey and just let all of his fears go and told her the truth. Then they both kiss each other like they can't live without each other. They were written so well as a couple in S4.

I agree. First they had the great buildup in S3 then great writing as a mature, supportive couple in it for the long haul with each other. Ride or die. That's one of the many reasons I RME at the lies some bitter D/J and P/A fans say about Pacey and Joey only fighting and never resolving their fights in S4, that's bs. Thankfully I don't hear nonsense here anymore. They were written very adult and realistically, unlike the other couples on DC. The way Pacey and Joey grew and connected together as a couple in S4 is one of the many reasons I can see them ending up together at the end. Joey didn't have a relationship with anyone else on the show (Especially with Dawson, when they literally NEVER grew up) that she did with Pacey.
