I don't feel very fine this morning. Got woken up at 6.30 am by mother trying to open the front door (We keep the keys hidden after her escapade in the middle of the night a few months ago). When I asked her what she was doing she replied there was someone at the door! Luckily there was nobody there! I thought I might as well get up as I needed to be awake and alert in case she got in trouble with anything. Unfortunately she pulled down a blind in the kitchen - My brother may be able to mend it.

I think she has gone back to bed now so I may get some peace! (It is still only 08.02am).

I feel for you. Is it maybe time to find a seniors complex for her? Stuff like that can be very stressful for those looking after them.

Ugh, it's been a long day. I worked all day and then went straight from work to a fundraising event for our local Sailing Club. Where I work, we match fundraising money up to $5000 ($1000 per employee) if we have 1-5 employees volunteering at the event. I didn't get home until 10:00, but they raised over $36,000 which is fantastic considering we are a very small community.

Not a good idea at all about the seniors complex. They cost a small fortune and the house would have to be sold to pay for it and we have all put a lot of time and effort into that house, so we don't want to lose it. We will just manage for the moment and when it is necessary we could get a team of carers in to help rather than uprooting her into a strange place. Most of the time she is ok at home but sometimes gets confused about where she is.

Good to here about your fundraiser - a lot of hard work but well worth it for the amount you raised.

That's a good point about the cost of a seniors home. If you guys are able to look after her for now, then why give someone else the money.

I won't ever have to think about that as I lost both of my parents in 2003 and 2004, they were in their early 60's.

Well the mother I knew faded away a few years ago now and all she is left with are a few scattered memories and a lot of confusion.

On a happier note some pics of various garments.

A jumper/sweater/pullover.

A cardigan.

A vest.

And just because. . . .

Swimming Shorts!

Jeans!

Jumpsuit for ladies.

R.I.P Pudsey

Poor Pudsey had to be euthanized due to getting Leukaemia.

Pudsey was Britain's Got Talent winner a few years ago and went on to appear in the Royal Variety Show where he met the Queen, star in his own movie and make multiple TV appearances.

I watched the 1st episode of Elementary tonight! I didn't watch it when it first came out so it's great that Sky Living is showing it from the beginning again. I have seen some episodes of the later seasons but it is great to go back to the beginning to see the whole thing, especially as John Noble will eventually appear as Sherlock's dad. I have series linked it so if I miss any I can watch them the next day.

Hubby is working in his old office this week as they are short staffed again. More money for the shopping I have just bought. Nothing exciting just bed linen.

I've only seen a couple episodes myself.

Just saw the post before that, poor puppy.

Yes, Pudsey and his owner were all over the TV a few years ago. She said he had developed leukaemia and so she took the heart wrenching decision to have him euthanized as she didn't want him to suffer.

I worked another 6 day week. I'm not young anymore and it's really catching up with me.

You poor thing. I know what that's like from my caring and nursing days. I'm glad the only thing I have to think about now is organising the meals and doing a spot of housework. And worrying about the family of course!

Tomorrow is a Holiday here, so I actually get two days off in a row which is great. I miss having two days off in a row. However, for the next two weeks I took the Monday and Tuesday off as vacation and Wednesday's are my scheduled days off, so I will have four days off in a row for the next two weeks. I can't wait.
