A GREAT BIG WELCOME to you ChicagoGina.

I love meeting other Josh fans and I'm so glad you've been a fan of his for so long. You are right that he is "Uber-talented" and "incredibly hot". I'm a newer fan as I only discovered him in Fringe; however, as soon as I realized how much I was a fan, I watched everything he was in and some multiple times.

I am Canadian just like our boy and I've never been to Chicago. So happy you decided to join us here on

Please tell us when you first discovered our Josh Board and how long you've been visiting before signing up.

Cheers from you Moderator

Hi Gina, my name is Lesley. I'm from the UK and live in a town in the North West of England called Warrington, which is roughly between Manchester and Liverpool. I was born in the North East of England where I grew up, but came West for my husband's work. We have 1 grown up son who has fled the nest now, and a replacement called Buddy who is a Bengal cat. I first became aware of Josh in Fringe but like Justyne caught up with most of his work later. Great to have you on board and look forward to reading your input.

Cheers,
Lesley (Co-moderator).

Hi again! Are you the same jjh, Justine Higgins, I follow on Instagram and Pinterest? Thanks for the big welcome! Where in Canada are you from? I have friends in Toronto and have been there several times, and I love it!

Since rediscovering Josh, thanks to finding DC on Amazon Prime and rewatching it like a KAJILLION times (!!), I, too, have looked up and watched literally EVERYTHING I can find that’s Josh related!! I’ve REALLY got it BAD! 😉 Have you ever met him? That’s been a dream of mine forever but, as usual in my life, I’m a bit late to the party!!

So, I found this forum recently basically doing Google and Bing searches for any and everything I can get my hands on about Josh. I read a couple of posts earlier this month and then joined. I’m older than your average fangirl, but still very passionate about our guy! I grew up a fan of the Osmonds and will always love them bunches, too, but Joshua just makes my heart skip a few beats whenever I see or hear about him.

Thanks again for the warm welcome! 🙏🏻

Thanks for the welcome, Lesley!! And sorry to have misspelled your name in my earlier post, Justyne!!

WOW! The U.K?! Happy to say, I’ve been there, too! I won a trip back in the mid-80s to London! So I went with a friend and we got to visit all the tourist sites, including some side trips, my favorite being Stratford Upon Avon. My dear friend Carol Mills is from Manchester. Someday I hope to return with her for a visit.

Thanks again for the welcome. I look forward to more interaction here. Have a great day!

Yes Gina I am the same jjh as on Instagram and Pinterest. And based on how many pics I have on my Pinterest page, I bet you can tell I have it bad for Josh as well

Both Lesley and I are older than Josh, but he still does it for us as well. Although Lesley has not seen DC, I have watched it a KAJILLION times myself. I own all the DVDs and it is always in the Bluray player in my bedroom, so if I'm not watching TV or Netflix, I'm watching DC. Hubby and I are re-watching Fringe again for about the fifth time; however, I watched Fringe without him more than a dozen times.

Contrary to what Justyne says I have watched DC - in fact I do have the box set. I did enjoy it but as I watched it as an older Josh fan I didn't quite get into the Pacey love that everyone else has here. I still prefer to see Josh as an adult in grown up roles and enjoyed some of his earlier films immensely. I loved Shadows In The Sun and Aurora Borealis but then I was always a Donald Sutherland fan from the Kelly's Heroes and M.A.S.H days. One Week is also a favourite of mine, but I didn't like Shutter - too dark for me.

Ah! Ha!! I thought so, Justyne!! COOL! Small world. Yeah, go check out my Pinterest page sometime. I've got like a KAJILLION pictures of Josh, too. Just need to do way better at organizing them! I have the DC DVDs, too, although I'm currently watching it on Prime. And the only way for me to watch Fringe is on IMdb (or whatever that's called) and, frankly, parts of it are too gross for me (never into science) so all I want to do is go back and watch all the parts with Josh in them, which is impossible to do on IMDb, so I've only watched Fringe once. LOVE the Peter/Olivia dynamic though.

And Josh in "The Affair"? No words. Be still my beating heart. Not only is he HOT but his portrayal of Cole evoked some real emotion when I watched it. That, also, has been only once because I got the DVDs out from my local library.

Oh YES! Having lived for 16 months in Italy and being 100% Italian (my Father was born in Tuscany), I LOVED Shadows in the Sun not only for the Josh factor but for the Italian and Italian countryside factors, too!

I also loved Aurora Borealis and One Week. I'm not into horror flicks so Shudder and Cursed were not my favorites. Great to discuss Josh with fellow fans!!

Well you have come to the right place because I could talk about Josh all day if I could

Sorry Lesley, for some reason I did not think you watched DC. My mistake.

Well I had to watch DC as everyone was talking about it and it was the main show that made Josh famous and found his die hard fans. I did really enjoy it but more for the whole series and I appreciated all of the characters not just Pacey. I especially liked Grams as a character as she turned out to be a great advocate for her granddaughter. Dawson's folks got on my nerves a bit though!

Welcome,

I too first got introduced to Josh via Fringe, but because of Fringe I had to see everything he has ever done and I have pretty much seen all of his movies and shows, with a couple exceptions because I haven't been able to find them.

I hope you continue to enjoy his work.

Hello! My name is Melissa. I'm new here at Fan Forum, although not new to Josh Jackson by any means. I've pretty much been a fan of his since I was 10 years old. The very first poster that ever graced by bedroom walls as a pre-teen was the D2: Mighty Ducks movie poster that my local theater handed out opening night. It was a very exciting moment for me as a 12 year old girl lol. Dawson's Creek soon became my other teenage obsession (the first being The X-Files), and I fell in love with Pacey Witter. Who didn't, tbh? I have to say I was more into the characters Josh played than himself, so at that time I wasn't buying Teen Beat or keeping up on Internet gossip. I'd read or watch his interviews over the years whenever I came across them, but I wasn't dedicated to following his life. (That was my thing, though. It was the same for David Duchovny and Gillian Anderson. I was obsessed with Mulder and Scully and felt if I knew too much about the actors it would dilute the characters.) But I did like Josh a lot and I went and saw Cruel Intentions in the theater opening night as well as The Skulls and Lone Star State of Mind. All awesome movies. I think he's a wonderful actor. Watching him get better and better over the years has been a real joy. He's so very talented and I wish he would be in more things. He's incredible.

When DC went off the air, the same year TXF did, and both my obsessions reached their conclusions, I honestly didn't follow Josh much after that until Fringe came out. I knew about him and Diane Kruger, of course, but I didn't keep track of them or anything. I wasn't interested and I didn't like her all that much. On the occasional times I would read a magazine interview with DK, stuff she'd say about her relationship with Josh would rub me the wrong way. I didn't know if maybe it was because she was German and so there was a disconnect there with my American emotions, but she often came across as cold. Like, I remember reading one she did maybe around 2010 or 2011 where she was talking about marriage and kids. She was adamant about never getting married and how it's just a piece of paper that doesn't mean anything because it doesn't hold anyone back from walking out if they want out. She said she wanted to raise her kids in Europe and that Josh was cool with that "when we get there... IF we ever get there." I just remember thinking, you've been with him for years now, so how do you not know if you want to have children with him? And I remember from early interviews back before Josh ever met her where he had said that someday he wanted to get married and have kids. And of course anyone who knows him even a little bit knows he would be an amazing father. So, I was like, why string him along? Anyway, DK's comment there totally put me off her. I remember another interview like in 2015 where she made some comment about how it was a "huge commitment" to move to NYC for Josh and actually take time out of her own life to make room for someone else. WHAT???? You've been together for NINE YEARS, LADY. Again, it reiterated why I did not like her and why I thought Josh deserved better.

When they split up, I was like, "good," but I hadn't been following them much (or celebrity gossip in general), so at the time it was announced, I had no clue about what had happened with the Walking Dead dude. Since then, I learned everything, and... yikes is all I'm gonna say. So, that brings me to why I'm suddenly here now. Years and years ago I'd sometimes lurk on the DC Fan Forum board and read the Pacey and Joey threads, but I never posted nor did I ever even look at this board. I'd say over the past couple years, I noticed Josh looking happier and happier, and it makes me happy to see him so happy. I like Jodie Turner-Smith a lot. She's hilarious and open and obviously adores him and doesn't mind how obvious it is. He deserves to be adored. I don't think DK adored him and it seemed like he changed things about himself to suit her independent personality and her whole outlook on marriage and kids. I think Jodie's personality is much more suited to his natural, warm, fun-loving one. It always seemed as though Josh truly enjoyed taking care of his mother and sister, and so I think he loves to be needed. Not that I would ever presume what goes on inside their minds or the inner workings of their relationships because I do not know these people, but DK always came across like she didn't really need Josh, or anyone. Jodie makes it obvious that she is ALL. ABOUT. HIM. And according to her, he loves that.

Anyway, TLDR... in a nutshell, I'm here because Josh looks happier than I have ever seen him in the last 20+ years, and I'm thrilled for him and his new family.

Welcome Melissa and welcome to our Josh Board. He is incredible and deserves his own Board. He is the only one of the DC alum that still has an active Board on which I think is incredible. The other DC character Boards have long since been closed. And actually Josh is the only actor that has three Boards that involve him. This Board of course and then the DC Board and the Fringe Board, so that's saying something

I actually discovered Josh when I started watching Fringe in 2012 and then I watched DC because he was in it and I fell head in love with him all over again through Pacey.

I have never been into an actor like I am with Josh, there is just something about him that draws you in.

I never had an opinion about DK, but I was indifferent to their relationship. And any sweet moments between them were more because of Josh and I soaked that up because he just seemed like the perfect BF

Anyway, I look forward to seeing you on the Board and thanks for joining our Fandum.
