Movie/TV role that Josh would have been great in?

Past or present film or tv roles that you think Josh would have made better or been great in...

I'll start off with...

Ashton Kutcher's role in The Butterfly Effect.

Good choice.

I just started re-reading Leslie Charteris' series of book called 'The Saint'. He's described as tall, strong, confident, smart and witty. I know it was made into a TV show a long time ago, and I think Josh would have been the ideal candidate. If he managed to pull off a British accent, that is.

Interestingly enough, Josh was supposed to star in the film, but he ended up walking away from the project after a friend of his passed away and things in the movie reflected that friend. It was just too soon. Or at least that's the rumor I've always heard...

Josh was the favorite to be the title role in Fletch Won. But, unfortunatly the project fell through. He would've been great! :)

Ever watch a series called "Blood ties"?.It only ran for 22 odd episodes but it was probably a pre-cursor to "TRUE BLOOD" and "Vampire diaries".
I think Josh would've made a good vampire given the chance.
Either that or I'd loved to have seen him crop up in the STARGATE series or the ENTERPRISE spin off from "STAR TREK".

I guess this was not the greatest of threads....lol

Oh yeah forgot to add in "BLOOD TIES" that the guy in it was DOUG WITTER in DAWSON'S namely Pacey's brother.Funny how cast members turn up unexpectedly in other things when you least expect it.

I always wanted to see Josh as Iago in Othello. I know he isn't really a classically trained actor but I think he'd be a really good bad guy - especially one that is so charming. We sort of got a little taste of it in Cursed but unfortunately Josh's acting was overshadowed by the rubbish plot!

Other than that I thought he'd have been perfect as a young Indiana Jones, young Han Solo, Spiderman (although he's now getting too old for these) or the next Six Million Dollar Man.

He would have made a GREAT Bruce Wayne/Batman....i know it was between him and Christian Bale...he should have got it.

I would like to see a studio take on "Aquaman" and I want to see Josh cast as the lead of a trilogy. Yes!

Ten My Love 05-06-2012 08:11 PM

I agree that he would have been great as Indy or Han. To me, he's as swarthy as Harrison Ford. I'm all for the lead of a trilogy!

I would love to see him in a period piece in which he'd have to wear dapper clothes, like Sense and Sensibility or Sherlock Holmes. Or a western and on a horse, like Bonanza or The Big Valley.

Josh on SUPERNATURAL as a hunter or a very tempting devil!.

Eric Bana's role in The Time Travellers Wife. I'm a big softie and couldn't help but think how Josh in that role would make me melt even more :thud:

TTW would have been a perfect cast for Josh...i totally agree:)

Ten My Love 07-02-2012 06:44 AM

I can see him in any fun rom-com romp, even something as silly as Matthew McConahey's (I never know how to spell that guy's name!) role in Fool's Gold. Sort of an unseemly fellow with a heart of gold. Plus he'd have been reunited with Kate Hudson, which I want very soon.
