Recent pic of Aaron Schwartz (Karp) and Shaun Weiss (Goldberg) from September 2012. Is Josh lurking in the background? ;) -

Oh my God. <3 So adorable. (90's flashback! <3)
That will probably be the only photo of Josh on which his curls will actually look appealing to me. :)

Such a cute picture! I am such a huge nerd for these movies!

Those clothes bring back so many memories, especially Josh's tie dye shirt!

I remember reading that Josh really didn't know how to ice skate before getting this role. He really made up for it. As a Canadian, he fooled me.

Oh, yeah. He seemed to pull it off pretty well! If anything, his ability got better and better with each movie. :)

He's a good skater, no doubt about that. I started young. About 6 and it was roller skates and those four wheelers with the adjustable nuts and the steel plates that would fit your feet and that fastened onto your trainers. I only got onto the ice about 8 or 9 years old.
Anyone else remember those old skates and roller boots?.

Winterfell 04-27-2013 02:29 AM

Caledon, I remember those! :) It was so hard to move on those four wheelers, at least for me :)
I used to play ice hockey for a while and it's not that hard once you get the hang of it... :(
Injuries are dangerous though. :(
Donna, interesting information, I didn't know that, thanks for sharing!

That's pretty funny about him not knowing how to skate well! I never would have known!

Ten My Love 04-28-2013 08:43 PM

Well, he was only 14 when he got Mighty Ducks and he spent a lot of his childhood moving up and down the West coast before that. I'm sure he was hard-pressed to find a skating rink in Topanga Canyon, California!

Besides, he has no fear. At 14, he would have been game for perfecting a new skill like skating for hockey. Also, don't forget that scene when they rollerblade through town. That was scary. I hate rollerblading -- it's not like ice skating at all -- and it's much more difficult, I think.

I love ice skating. It's the best, and my kids miss it a lot since there's no rink in Chattanooga. We have to drive an hour and a quarter to an Atlanta suburb for the closest rink. My daughter is actually planning an early birthday in two weeks so she can invite her friends to try skating before it shuts down till August. That's how much SHE loves it!
