Seriously! I keep thinking Bill is just this normal husband/father just trying to keep his wife's crazy moods in check, but then the way he'll look at Kerry Washington's character just makes me think that something is up with him and he's about to do something ****ty idk lol

I felt really early on that perhaps Bill has a little affair or a one time indiscretion with Kerry's character. I've never read the book, so it is only speculation.
