I agree, I'm currently re-watching DC and am on S6. I was watching the kisses between Joey and Dawson and you can clearly tell she was not into it at all. Most of the time her mouth is closed.

Yep, she was always more into kissing Pacey than Dawson (Along with their entire relationship) She always acted like a dead fish with Dawson lol.

And that scene where Joey and Dawson do it for the first (and only) time just seems so unromantic. They have to use several camera angles to try to make it look more intense, but even that doesn't do the trick.

Their kissing scenes always seemed over choregraphed or something (Especially in S2) You can't force chemistry. You can tell JJ and KH just went with the flow and it easily came together (or blew up like a volcano) You can't generate a spark with wet mulch.

I'm currently watching S6 and I noticed that when Joey and Eddie kiss, Katie doesn't open her mouth (they are all closed mouth kisses), so it's so not steamy at all, it was the same with James during their S6 scene.

I guess she wouldn't be into kissing Eddie since he left her and dumped her twice lol. Plus, she only used Eddie as a way to run away from Pacey so she wasn't that into him anyway.

I'm thinking it has more to do with Katie not being into the scene, but I could be just seeing what I want to see

Kind of like that BTS footage where Katie rolls her eyes when she and Chad Michael Murray are having a pillow fight. It just looked like she was tolerating him just for the scene. But you never get that impression when she's with Josh.
