I will have to go to bed now as we are going to Newcastle for the weekend for my birthday and for the boys to go to a Rugby 'magic weekend'. I will spend it with my sister which will be good. We will catch up over a few bottles of wine and dvds and a Chinese take away.

You know you are getting old when the parties are retirement rather than weddings. Unless it's for kids and their friends and young relatives.

It's funny that it happened on Josh's birthday but I took my mother and her friend to an 80th birthday celebration for one of her church friends today. The lady in question was a polio victim at 11 years of age and nearly died. She has been severely disabled ever since and has a team of carers looking after her, but she has an electric wheelchair, a specially adapted motor vehicle that she drives herself, so she doesn't let her disability stop her from going out and living as independently as she can.

She always has a smile on her face and is so cheerful that she spreads joy to everyone she meets. Her carers love her so much that they did all the catering for her and put on a lovely spread for all her friends to enjoy.

It was a privelege to meet such a marvellous woman who was so pleased that so many people turned out to share her special day.

Back to work today. YAY. I'm not a big fan of the part-time thing if it means going over a week without work. Nice to have time off and be able to be here throughout the day, but I have to pay bills too.

Hope you have a good day at work . I did a pile of laundry today - just finished the ironing. Having a rest now with fringe and the number stations - I think fauxlivia is having second thoughts about her mission - Peter has to believe there's another way.

They've just found the big piece of the machine and realised what it is.

Sounds like fun. I spent the afternoon in the living room with my kids watching Mrs. Brown's Boys on You Tube while my son got packed for Basic Training. I dropped him off at 6:00pm and I won't see him again until August 29th. What am I going to do? He's only ever been away from home for one week and minute he's graduating and the next thing I know he's off to Basic Training all in one week

I´ts awful when they go away from home. The first time my son went away with his friends to Spain I was so worried. Now he´s 25 I still worry. I hated it when he went to University and I used to ring my sister all the time to check up on him.

I have only got a few more minutes left so will sign off soon.
