Definitely not a family show I accidentally was watching it with my daughter one night on an epi I thought would be a little more tame, but nooooooo . . . and it wasn't pretty.

Sounds like a great plan. We watched 2 episodes of Fringe tonight, that is our weekday show while we prepare/eat supper.
