You don't get rid of your leading lady because she no longer serves a purpose, you give her a purpose. Also Alison could have gone on to achieve a lot even if the character was not in the show. I think killing her in such a way was a bit of a cop out, unless they are going to run with it and let everyone, including his wife, know what a dangerous individual Ben is. Ben could go on to do a great deal of harm to those around him, if someone else challenges him.

I'm not defending Ben in the slightest, but PTSD can do some serious damage to a person. If Ben shows up in S5 (which I kind of hope he doesn't) then that could either send him on a downward spiral or force him to really take control of his life.

As far as killing Alison in the way they did, I thought it was fitting given her back story. What would have been a cop out is if they did have her commit suicide. I'm actually happy with how they did it. I mean I would have been happy if they didn't kill her off, but since they did, I'm good with how they did it.

If there is no follow up on what Ben did then it seems like he got away with murder, but I suppose the show is not about bringing people to justice but about how people see each other. Ben just seems to try to lie his way out of anything, so lets hope his wife finds out before it's too late for her and the kids. Violent distressed people usually hit out at those closest to them so his wife or kids may be next.

Yeah, let's hope, but we can hope behind the scenes because I don't really want Ben to be in S5.

I wonder if Season 5 will be filming soon...S4 started filming in September last year.

Let's hope so, then we'll know a bit more about where they are going with it.

That doesn't surprise me at all. I'm sure sex scenes are an actor's least favourite thing as we hear time and time again how awkward they are to film.

Of course I would still like to see one or two more with Josh/Cole.

Agreed. I noticed the sex/nudity on the show have really toned down after Season 1 and 2. And like you've said, maybe that was one of the reasons Ruth wanted to leave the show.

Yeah, I still feel strongly about that being the reason. However, if it were the reason then why tone it down and get rid of her?

She's the showrunner for Roswell, and Colin Donnell "liked" her tweet.

Maybe Dominic pushed for the less explicit sex scenes too. As Sarah Treem is a great fan of his I'm sure he could influence the decision.
