The time I collect the counts each day coincides with midnight, Greenwich Mean Time (GMT). That's the "official" time of the board and it means that my estimates for monthly average will be very close to the official counts. Since Greenwich Mean Time does not observe Daylight Savings Time, I have to change the time I collect the counts when the US time changes so that it will still be in line with Greenwich Mean Time. I post at 8pm EDT (Eastern Daylight Time) and switch to 7pm EST (Eastern Standard Time) when the time changes.

Yes, I do. My family kids me about it. Often we'll be together watching tv in the evening or doing something else and my phone goes off and everyone says "Time to do the Post Counts!"

I do daily counts for five boards. The 3 that I mod, plus The Big Bang Theory and Nathan Fillion. I've got a thing for numbers and math.

I think most boards do weekly counts. But most of the boards I'm on are for past shows, and they can hedge very close to the minimum, so I find it best to get the numbers daily. That way, if I can post a warning if they get too close.
