Indeed. It was already a little worrisome with a guy as unpredictable as Walter and Gene looked very concerned when Peter was devoting that burger.

Fun fact - the auto correct for Gene on my iPhone was Agnes originally....I can see Walter mistakingly getting Gene's name wrong, too.

:lmao: If he ever called Gene "Astrid" it would have been hilarious!

"I thought you'd be fatter"

Walter's first words to Peter :lol:

If Peter ever thought his father had tact, he learned otherwise very quickly.

And she appeared in S5 too. Fun Fact: There were 3 different cows portraying Gene over the course of the show.

I love the Peter and Walter scenes and I loved Peter's reactions to all the Walterisms :lmao:

one from the pilot, the one in s1 then the one from canada? I don't remember well :lol:

Ropetuned 10-05-2017 05:39 PM

Show wouldn't have been the same without their banter and their scenes in the last few episodes alone :sigh:

As much as the show was about science fiction and supernatural phenomena and alternate universes, it was also - at its core - a drama about family and how families and the individuals in them manage to love each other through all sorts of difficulties.

@l3jandra 10-07-2017 12:18 PM

At the end it was all about family :nod:

Ropetuned 10-07-2017 02:23 PM

Agreed. I love the science fiction and supernatural aspect but the family stuff has me attached too the show for life.

I love that the "my favorite thing" scene was filmed on a closed set with John and Josh and a few of the crew members. I wonder how many takes they had to do?

@l3jandra 10-07-2017 02:28 PM

Same here, after 5 years it tough not to love them

I think it was one take, but I'm not sure.

Ropetuned 10-07-2017 04:58 PM

Wow, I wouldn't be able to do it in one take although the sadness was needed so it's not something they needed to edit :)

@l3jandra 10-07-2017 06:20 PM

I'll see if I find an interview of that :)

Ropetuned 10-07-2017 07:32 PM

Thanks :)

I think the show would be extremely different without the chemistry and the believable father/son bond between the two.
