Well, believe it or not, the Limp Bizkit version was more successful as a single on the music charts than The Who version was.

Not hard to do considering how easy it so to buy music now and the fact that The Who had at least 10 hit songs

Another factor is that there are more music charts that rank songs now than there were in 1971 when The Who released their version of "Behind Blue Eyes".

Limp Bizkit has had plenty of hits, but of course The Who has had more, they've been around a lot longer.
