A thread where talking about the music of Fringe. I know that other boards have this thread but if it isn't allowed here, don't hesitate to close it ;)

I wonder if they'll play alot of popular music like Alias or just stick to score like Lost.

I guess we'll see.

I'm wondering the same thing. I haven't really heard or seen anything about the music yet.

I don't think popular music would fit as well as just melodies :shrug:

That's what I'm thinking but who knows. I always thought the music on Moonlight was weird most of the time......like it didn't fit. Not sure why that popped into my head but it was the first show I thought of. But, yeah, I think Fringe would be more like Lost and just have a score. Guess we'll have to wait and see though.

Actually i am kinda curious about what kind of music will be played too. I haven't seen the pilot yet and i haven't read anything about the music but i think that maybe melodies and music like the one on Lost would fit Fringe better. But well, we just have to wait and see.

Well, the unaired pilot had just score, but you never know. They liked to mix and match on Alias.

i think they'll stick to score for the most part... i felt the pilot could have had a really bitchin ballad at the end... jj did mention it was lacking music so, we'll see

According to FringeWiki.fox.com two songs were used in 1.02:

"Young Men Dead" by The Black Angels
"Skin Head" by The Glass Helmets

I love Fringe's score! I hear it a few times in the Pilot and episode 2. Does anyone know who composed it?

"Young Men Dead" played when the killer is going to that club and meets the blond girl. The second one I suppose is when he's going to look for another girl. I couldn't find it and I'm not sure if it's a real band. :)

The score is cool. Sometimes it sounds kinda like a heartbeat.
