The tweet makes a very good point. Not only is Wendy Carr the equal to the men in the series - she's their equal at a time when women in the workplace almost never were the equals of men. Even more so in a boys-club organization like the FBI. I'm actually a little surprised that the show hasn't made more of the typical treatment that women got, even if they were in higher positions - being called upon to do the sorts of service tasks that secretaries did routinely, like getting coffee or working a copier.
