By the way the 2009 article 'Terminator Opera Comes to Radio City' reads from William Bell's New York Post Newspaper, only one "Terminator" film may have been made in the AU.

Peter theorizes on how Walter's device works while listening to a song from The B-52s of the alternate universe in his AU New York City apt. From "Over There, Part 2" that originally aired May 20, 2010.
The B-52s track playing could have been 'created' for effect, since I tried... and tried... and tried... to ID the song using many different lyric search sites, to no avail. |

The New York Titans never became the New York Jets in the alternate universe. I wonder what the Tennessee Titans are called 'over there'? Does that Ebbets Field poster say new? From S4-EP18 "The Consultant". http://fringefiles.com/albums/episod...ant0008853.jpg http://fringefiles.com/albums/episod...ant0008689.jpg Last edited by Ironhorse25; 11-18-2019 at 08:13 PM |

Frank notices that alternate Olivia is a little distant from him (maybe because she cheated on him with Peter and is pregnant with his child) as "I Want You To Want Me" from Randy Coleman plays in the background, a big clue that the band Cheap Trick also exists in the alternate universe, in S3-EP13 "Immortality" that originally aired February 11, 2011.
Here is the hit 1979 version from Cheap Trick. |

Considering that most people exist in both universes, it's not surprising that most also wind up with similar careers and lives. There are glaring differences - like Kennedy not being assassinated - but most seem to have more to do with one-time events rather than life direction.

I agree. The Twin Towers still standing as probably being the most glaring difference. However, I find it also fascinating to point out all those subtle similarities between the two universes that the Fringe clues give us as well.

Roy Orbison's "You Got It" also exists in the alternate universe.
Only this version is done by a band named Rooney. (Plays while Colonel Broyles sits in a bar at the counter watching footage of the East River Vortex 20 years ago (as of 2010), with a few dozen other patrons in "Entrada" that originally aired December 2, 2010.) I wonder if Roy Orbison is still alive in the alternate universe. Last edited by Ironhorse25; 12-05-2019 at 04:49 PM |

"Subject 13"
"The Real Ghostbusters" as well as The Ghost Zapper and Ecto-500 toys also existing in the alternate universe is a good bet that at least one "Ghostbusters" film was made in the alternate universe. (No indication of 'Ghostbusters II", or a possible III or IV ... or beyond ... or 2016 reboot, ever being made 'over there'. However, if the first "Ghostbusters" spawned a line of toys 'over there', the film most likely would have been successful enough for "Ghostbusters II" and possibly other sequels to have been made in the alternate universe. http://fringefiles.com/albums/episod...ct13-02813.JPG The animated series ran from 1986 to 1991 in this universe and was not on the air in 1985, as it was in the alternate universe. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Real_Ghostbusters "The Real" was added to the title after a dispute with Filmation properties. Apparently, this also occurred 'over there'. There also were two ongoing "Real Ghostbusters" comics, one published monthly by Now Comics in the USA and the other published weekly (originally biweekly) by Marvel Comics in the United Kingdom, and a popular toy line manufactured by Kenner. No indication that the comic book exists (most likely does) or if the first "Ghostbusters" was released earlier than 1984 in the AU. Notice that "Battleship Galactica" and Parker Brothers also exist in the alternate universe. In this universe the original "Battlestar Galactica" ran for one season in 1978–1979 before being canceled. In 1980, a write-in campaign revived the show as "Galactica 1980" for one additional season. Since the board game "Battlestar Galactica" is still selling as of 1985 in the alternate universe, it's a good chance the the original television series was more popular 'over there' than 'over here'. No indication if the 2004-2009 remake of "Battlestar Galactica" was made 'over there'. Last edited by Ironhorse25; 12-09-2019 at 09:53 PM |

A model of the LZ 127 Graf Zeppelin sits in alternate John McClennan's house. From "One Night in October".
http://fringefiles.com/albums/episod...ber0003301.jpg In this universe the LZ 127 Graf Zeppelin was a German passenger-carrying, hydrogen-filled rigid airship which flew from 1928 to 1937. Since the Hindenburg disaster may have not happened 'over there', the Graf Zeppelin may have had a longer run. |
