David Cook 6 Years @ Fan Forum!
   Banners by Jas (Street Spirit) Happy (Belated) Anniversary Cookies! It's been six years since the most rocking board at Fan Forum was opened! The past year could be described with two words especially; music and charity. David and The Anthemic hit the road again in the fall of 2013 and have been touring and playing shows more or less throughout the year. They also played eight shows in Europe for the first time ever, just finishing the USO Military Base Tour in the UK, Germany, Belgium, Spain and Italy. The tour schedule is booked till the end of the year and will get just more and more exciting, because it's starting to happen on the album front! David's 3rd post-Idol album has been in the works for some time now and this past year he's finally been recording and also producing it himself! When the guys embarked on the tour in the fall, they also immediately unveiled five brand new songs, Eyes On You, Where Do We Go, Carry You, Kiss And Tell and I'm Gonna Love You, and one more called Wait For Me this spring. We fell in love with each and every one of them, and absolutely cannot wait to hear the recorded version of (hopefully) all of them, especially since David and the guys have been perfecting them in a live setting on the road for months.  Just recently we got the news that new music is coming later this summer! Whether it's a new single or the whole album, we are completely ecstatic to hear it!David also reached a wonderful milestone in his song-writing career, when a song he co-wrote (and also performed himself for the first time last year), Kiss You Tonight, became a single for the popular country artist David Nail. It's been awesome to see how well the song's been doing and we hope David gets more chances to write music for other artists too, since it's something he also wants to do. David continued his work for charity by running the Race For Hope for the 6th year in a row in May. The day before he treated a bunch of lucky fans with a short acoustic set and a lengthy Q&A session. He also reached a whole new level - literally - with his efforts for charity when he participated in the Over The Edge For Brain Cancer event in November 2013 and rappelled down a 365-feet building! He also returned to the Chris Evert/Raymond James Pro-Celebrity Tennis Classic for the 5th year in a row in November 2013. And of course not a year goes by without American Idol asking David back. This year he got to try something new to him as he returned to mentor the Top 8. He did a mighty fine job with it and we wouldn't mind him doing it again! There was also a mini reunion with his fellow AI winner Kris Allen when the two artists played a charity show for Soles4Souls in Nashville.So, it's been another great year in the Cook fandom and an even greater one ahead as we get ready for the release of the long-awaited 3rd album! We couldn't be more proud of our board for celebrating its 6th anniversary at  and we know that as long as David keeps making his amazing music, we'll do our best to keep the board going to support him!  ~¤~ Some pretty for your time!               ~¤~         Icons by Jas (Street Spirit) __________________
