So All My Children ended up trending nationally last night. Someone made a post asking which soap they would be watching in 1993, and it got everyone talking about AMC. I was scrolling through the tweets, and I found this one below that I loved!

I'm surprised it was trending, but the 90's was the best time to watch AMC (Especially for Noah/Julia, but Ryan/Gillian was another great thing to come out of 90's AMC lol) Gillian did deserve better, that was the most ridiculous and brutal way to kill a soap character. Like damn, what did she do to y'all?

I love how many likes the tweet got! Everyone knows what they did to Gillian was extreme and uncalled for.

I wouldn't of killed her off, but they could of at least given her an open ended "death." Like she could of got into a fight with that hitwoman and they could of both fallen off a cliff, and Gillian is missing but assumed dead. Or having her get in a plane crash but she goes off a cliff like Maria did. They could of done something not as drastic as turning Gillian into sushi. I think Gillian's death was the biggest OTT middle finger I've ever seen a soap do to a character.

Yeah, she was shot in the head, declared brain dead, then they took her heart out and put it in Laura. So it was like they chopped her up into little sushi rolls to me, but my point was it was extreme as hell.

Yeah, they could of given Gillian a more ambiguous death like when Maria "died" on the plane crash or when Leo was presumed dead after going missing in the river...
