Philip emerges from Victor's sanctuary and manages to get temporary custody of Claire. But when Shawn and Belle find out that Philip plans to leave town with their daughter it leads to an international chase. Philip finds a willing accomplice in the jilted Willow.



New/Old DAYS Characters to Look Forward to:
Philip Kiriakis (Jay Kenneth Johnson, ex-DAYS) – the hitherto bandaged Philip will emerge with his new face in January. And in a good twist, Johnson, who originated the role, returns to take it back.

I'm so excited for Jay's return. :yay:

I kind of just posted my thoughts on Belle/Philip on the general discussion thread.

I've always had a soft spot for Belle/Philip........the old ones and the new ones.

But, yeah, they've just made it so obvious that it's all about Belle/Shawn.

Hey, nice to see someone who likes Phelle, i could never get into Shelle, probably coz they were in my face the whole time lol back then, even right now i cant get into them.

Also like i said in my post i wouldnt called myself a Phelle fan but i prefer them to Shelle, i am also looking forward to Jay's return and seeing him with Martha :D

Also i think Philip was a very good husband to Belle, but Belle was too hung up on Shawn and Shimi to ever notice that

I kind of stopped posting here on the Soaps board and even watching Days for awhile because I was pretty much in the minority here when it came to liking Phelle and not Shelle. Plus I liked Shimi and most here didn't.

I'm definitely excited to see how the vibe/chem is between Jay/Martha! :yay:

And I totally agree, Philip was a teriffic husband to Belle. That's why I was always so ticked with Belle.

^ Shimi was ok, just that she was Belle's friend kinda dampen the relationship from the beginning :)

I hope in the future that somehow Phelle get together or have an affair or have something going on lol

see, I wanted to like them in the beginning. All Belle did was lust and long for Shawn and mostly look miserable around Philip. There was no rooting value at all. Philip was such a great husband and she never appreciated him. I loved Shimi, mostly due to JC and FF. They purposely played the relationship. JC even said him and FF had to adlib their own stuff at the wedding because the writers wanted it all about Shelle. JC never looked miserable with Mimi like Belle did with Philip. JC was really trying hard to sell Shimi. The writers couldn't let it be

^ I do agree here, Shawn was ready to move on with Mimi, but Belle was too hung up on him, her and Philip could have had a great marriage if she just gave as he did to her

hshapir2 - JC and FF just had amazing chemistry. :nod: I definitely agree with all your thoughts.

Lennie - Yep, that has been the problem this past year with Belle/Philip. She was always focused on Shawn. I would have loved to see her make a real go of things with Philip.

I am sure in Belle's little way she did love Philip, but not fully acnowledge it coz of Shawn just being there

I like Phelle a lot as well :nod: I used to like Shelle when it was Kirsten and Jason, but now that there are new characters I'm not as much into the couple. I hope something develops between the new Philip and Belle :)

But i think first we are gonna see a bad boy Philip happening, which is not surprising since the things he's been through and what with his recent accident, he's gonna be feeling bitter

Also i have heard Willow gets involved in this Shelle/Phelle thing, and i so dont want Phil getting together with Willow

I really don't want that either. I hope that doesn't happen.

I also hope that Philip is able to have Claire in his life. I felt really bad for him, how she was just taken away from him like that. Maybe he and Belle can reconcile and have their little family back.
