Considering that it looks like the writers are pushing Shawn and Mimi together as a couple. I thought I would give them a thread for posting your thoughts on the pairing.

I just want to say that I am a Shawn and Belle pairing myself. But considering how horrible she has been to him lately, I'm kind of starting to lean towards Mimi.

It is understanding that Mimi has just lost Rex and Shawn has just lost Belle. They both are heartbroken and need a friend to lean on, which is good since they are roomates.

And since it is a soap opera, where friends are upset, they pretty much end up becoming romantic.

I think it will be good for Shawn to get over wallowing over Belle every second of his life. And it will give Mimi a chance to step away from just being Belle's sidekick.

Who knows maybe I will actually like these two together...

@ the thread title. I don't watch Days that often but my dad does and he hates the new Belle (I make fun of him cause Kirsten is now on GH which is my fave soap). I don't necessarily want Shawn and Mimi together but it's better than having Shawn and Belle together right now. Plus it makes Belle jealous, which makes Phillip jealous and that's funny.

I can't stand the new Belle, so I would be for a Mimi/Shawn pairing. Btw, how did Mimi lose Rex?

I don't want Mimi and Shawn together romantically AT ALL, but I am all for a jealous Belle as she sees her best friend and love of her life drawing closer together as friends.

He found out about the abortion (by overhearing Belle's loud mouth in the hospital, thus why Mimi is pissed at her) so he took a job in Chicago and left Salem. It was a bit too rushed, IMO.

Not pleased! I loved Rex & Mimi, and I despise and detest Shawn, so I don't think he's good enough. Plus FF is talented, JC is ... not. So yeah, no thanks. But hey, I might change my mind who knows.

I think FF and JC are both talented, IMO. And I loved Rex and Mimi, too, and they could have done so much better with that story. But, I say, BRING IT ON, if it's going to make Belle jealous, irritated, all hot and bothered! Hee.

Who else laugh what Phillip said about himself when Chole and him broke up and seeing her with Brady. Didn't Phillip try to get Brady arrested? I remember him becoming a little bit like Chole's stalker. It seems Phillip is rewriting his own history, wow he really is Kate's son.

I am loving jealous Belle, this is the first time she had the realization of Shawn with another woman. And not just any old woman, but Mimi, Belle's estranged best friend.

I think Belle knew the day would come, that Shawn would start to move on. But I think she was hoping that he would just stay single forever. Now she knows what Shawn feels about Phillip being with Belle.

This storyline is full of karma, Belle made a mistake in marrying Phillip on the rebound and staying in a loveless marriage. Now she gets to feel the same pain that she force upon Shawn, the man she claims to love more than anything.

And I have to say this is the best acting I've seen from Martha in her protrayal of Belle. She looks so miserable, sad, and totured watching Shawn and Mimi become closer.

I wish that Belle would have a fanasty, where Mimi and her are BFF again. Phillip let her out of their marriage with his blessing to be with Shawn. And then Shawn and her have some big romantic reunion. I think that would be because it's the exact opposite of her life right now.

I find it interesting that I like this storyline, with jealous Belle and a stronger friendship between Mimi and Shawn.

Phillip was PSYCHO during his relationship with Chloe (at the end), and after they broke up. So, he definitely has selective memory.

I wasn't sure about a Mimi/Shawn romantic relationship at first, but now I have to say I'm rooting for it. I've been a Belle and Shawn fan but not so much anymore................especially lately. I'm ready to see Belle live with the decision she made and see Shawn move on. He hasn't been happy for a long time and I'd like to see him happy for once. Call me crazy but I like the idea of Mimi/Shawn. And yes, all the jealous Belle stuff is great!

What I really want to see is Belle voice how she feels about Shawn new relationship with Mimi to herself. I can see she upset about it, but I want to hear from her own mouth how she feels about it.

To find out if Bonnie wasn't off the mark, when she stated that Belle didn't want Shawn and Mimi to date. But she said it more like she was accusing Belle of thinking that Mimi wasn't good enough for Shawn. Instead of the fact that Belle is still madly in love with Shawn and wants him for her own.

The only thing I find really annoying about this storyline. Is how both Phillip and Bonnie are already talking like Mimi and Shawn are madly passionatly in love. Bonnie I understand because she wants Mimi to marry Shawn for the money. But I mean Rex left town a few days ago, I wouldn't start picking out china patterns yet.

And if Shawn and Mimi do get together, it should because they want to. Not because Mimi wants to spite Belle and Shawn wants to forget all about her. It would be too painful watching another loveless couple taking up screen time as they long for the ones they can't have. But I do see more of a future for Mimi/Shawn than Belle/Phillip fake marriage.

Also they made a lot of remarks about Shawn drinking today. Who else thinks that something big happens between Shawn and Mimi will be when he or both of them are under the influence.

... which just confirms my theory that ole Uncle Phil knows the truth about Shawn and Belle! He is doing this to push her buttons. I swear, he isn't a freakin' saint. He can kiss my ass with his fake nobility. Bonnie is just nuts, I ignore her rants most of the time. But Phil? He has an agenda, for real.

I think they are going to probably kiss and make out... if they have them sleep together, that will straight PISS ME OFF, even if I want to make Belle suffer. Because they do not even need to go there.

I wonder if Mimi and Shawn become a super popular couple, that the writers will not break them up to put him back with Belle.

Because it seem when I first heard about them, they came across as just a filler couple until it was found out that Shawn is the father of Belle's baby.

But now I am begining to think that Belle might have real competion for Shawn's heart. And when everything comes out about Belle fake marriage to Phillip and the true paternity of the baby. I think Days is setting up an interesting love triangle.

I'm just surprised how much I like the pairing of Shawn and Mimi. I am really enjoying jealous Belle, I keep expecting her to tell Mimi to stay away from her man.

Heh heh I find it amusing and amusing. These two should hit it off. I mean I do like Belle and Shawn but she's being such a loser that I just get annoyed of her. And I feel sad about Rex/Mimi I really do like those two but I have a feeling he won't be able to forgive her...jealousy is ALWAYS fun...in soaps that is

Since I was never a fan or R/M or S/B I'm loving this new idea of Shawn and Mimi it could be such a fun storyline if the writers don't some how make it all about Belle ...again.

I'm totally hooked on these two.
