There is a ton of robo-voting going on, Cin/Jarlena are the most obvious. At this point I just keep voting to try and keep JnJ in 4th place.

I think when you allow for fans to vote more than once, you will get results like that so it is what it is.

I think if they were going to allow multiple votes it should have been open for a shorter time. Or it should have just been one vote per IP address.

They expected CIN to win & that's the only reason the runner up is getting an Instagram Live too.

Jarlena won period! There shouldn't be anything for the runner up!

They should just give it all the couples then.

Yep. I was tempted to vote for Jarlena too just so Cin wouldn't win.

I don't know why the show is putting all its eggs in that couple since it's rumored the Ciara actress might leave when her contract is up in a few months. I guess they might get another year/half year out of it but I don't know that their popularity would translate to a new actress.

Maybe they are putting their eggs in the basket because they are just that - rumors. VK said on her IG she isn't going anywhere just a couple of weeks ago. However, she's beautiful (still needs to hone in her craft) I could see her on Primetime TV.

I wanted JnJ, Cin or Wilson to win. I have nothing against Jarlena but there's this odd bitterness over the popularity of Cin.

People were supposedly anti voting. Bot rumors were flying without concrete proof against Jarlena/Cin and fans were just acting out.

Cin has the greatest social media engagement for #Days which is obviously good for the show. That's the buzz and attention they want and need. We're in the age where SM is everything. I'm glad they get to do the IG Live. Can't lie.

Edit: Still my favorite JnJ vid. Can the writers just watch this? I wish the writing was better. I wanted more Jack/Abby scenes. Less of this Eve mess.

I mean, I could see DOOL trying to work something out if she wants more flexibility but it would be way too soon to announce anything. It's just smart professionalism.

Jarlena isn't my favorite(I preferred original recipe Roman and Marlena) but I really hate this trend of "redeeming" serial killers. Ben here. Franco on GH. Like one murder, I can wrap my head around because there's usually a mitigating factor. But serial murders? Why? Why not bring him back as a twin or something? It's a shame because they do have chemistry and I would probably be really into them if it weren't for that.

The serial killer redemption at least on soaps doesn't bother me. Especially since they try and play it like they were mentally ill when it happened. (Don't watch GH so don't know Franco's deal).

I didn't think I could like Jack because he's a rapist and that's the one thing I hate more than anything in RL. I'd hate it if they ever put it on Primetime TV. But soaps are outlandish as hell between being possessed by the devil, resurrections, 10000+ marriages, that weird aliens abducting teens storyline. I just roll with it lol.

^ I completely agree with you on EVERYTHING! It's a soap opera so there will be many redemptions that people won't agree with...

With Franco, it's because of the Sam thing and Elizabeth is a rape victim.
Jennifer is a rape victim as well and she is the soulmate of Jack...

So I've watched Soaps so many times and the narrative will always change depending on your ship of course... I believe. lol

I will say though, I am getting a little tired of the whole "I was mentally ill excuse."

It's getting used way too much to excuse bad behavior which is why I loved Jack redemption of him feeling guilty for so many years and the writers not just putting it under the rug because of a mental illness issue... that's the easy way out to me.

I feel like although they say they were mentally ill no one seems to cut them slack. Well, at least in Ben's case.

But I see your point. Jack's redemption was written during the peak of soaps.

When storylines were truly well thought out, the budget was better and they shot less in advance and could work around stories skillfully. That's why I'm always looking for Supercouples from the 90s. Soap gold.

Finding JnJ last year was wonderful.

Yeah they said Franco had brain tumor just because they changed the actor and wanted to change his role sort of completely.

So I can see why fans didn't really buy into that storyline.

I sure don't cut them slack because when Ben was killing people I don't remember people saying "Aww look he has mental issues so it's okay." however once he got paired with Ciara, it seems what he did in the past is acceptable... and THAT's my issue... if the CIN pairing didn't become as big, would be still act the same way.

For me my issue with Ben's redemption storyline thus far is that I don't see why everyone in Salem should forget what he's done? What has Ben really did besides save and love Ciara? To anyone else, he should be the same serial killer since he really haven't done anything else. So my issue with some fans are the ones who are having an issue with the treatment of Ben... umm... if Ben doesn't like being treated that way, he doesn't need to be in Salem! He can start a whole new life somewhere else.... I know for storyline purposes that won't happen but it's why I can't really feel too sad (yet) for him.

It seems in Soaps the pattern is starting to be the rapist having a legit redemption storyline whereas the serial killers have the mentally ill excuse....
I think fans don't necessarily forget a character's past which is why it's good when you see a character show a long drawn out guilt within themselves.

Soap Couples from the 90 were so amazing.

JnJ had the perfect writing that is needed for me to be able to ship them.

Jack got a real redemption arc.

Ben isn't getting one at all to me.

I really don't see how a redemption story is, "falling in love with a good person and loving her...."

It really takes more than that for a redemption and as I mentioned, besides saving and loving Ciara, I haven't seen anything good Ben has done.

Like kidnapping Gabi for Stefan....????
How is that redeeming him.....

Even recently he was going to kill his sister for Ciara.
The only good he's doing is for Ciara so I don't get how that's a redeeming person.

I agree on JnJ.
