I think the issue for me is that I don't see how Jake would be a long lasting character...

Stefan had established relationships and roles in Salem...Jake not so much only with Ben and even that it's not like it's something we always see ya know?

Well technically Jake is a Dimera since he's Stefan brother... so I wonder if he will become a man trying to get his share of the Dimera money since as Gwen stated, "we're rich."
