Barney was being rather high handed in expecting Ted to just go off to Vegas with him especially when their friends had been planning Ted a surprise party. Barney knew about the party and he should have known Ted wouldn't be fine with ditching them. If Ted hadn't known about the party and had gone with Barney, their friends would have gone to a lot of trouble for nothing. I think Barney was panicking at that moment and really wasn't thinking clearly because he'd have never suggested it otherwise. He was just really scared of losing Ted.

Aww, their 'break-up' was really sad. :( I agree that Barney was panicking at the thought of losing Ted. He went about the situation the wrong way, though it was also a very 'Barney' way. :lol: I wished Ted had been a little more understanding. I think he can get a little tunnel-visioned at times. :/

But it all worked out!

I think Ted was just so angry at the way Barney was disregarding their friends' feelings and dealing with the fact that if Barney could be so callous towards them, what's stopping him from doing the same to Ted? And I don't think we can discount the Robin reveal either. Barney's mistake was in not giving Ted some time to work though his feelings. He was being pushy when Ted needed him to back off.

Yeah definately Barney was panicking and he felt guilty so he did for Ted the thing that would have cheered himslf up, going to Vegas, didnt really think much about the others, they probobly would have been fine if he'd just driven them to the party :sigh:
But the way he ran to the hospital when he learned about Teds accident was just heartbreaking and Ted was being an idiot for thinking Barney didnt care at all and hung up :pout:

I loved that Barney continued to act like he didn't care when he heard, but as soon as he was off the phone, he ran like mad.

Yeah :sigh: I loved it too. And it was so sweet when they finally reunited. "You're my brother" :bawl: :love:

But it's not all just about vegas though. That's how Barney just is, and he really was scared of loosing Ted. But Ted decided he outgrew Barney as a friend after he found out Robin and him hooked up, and that's not fair considering she didn't get any blame for it at all. I just didn't like that whole situation, I feel like Barney got blamed for more then he should have.

^Definately :nod: Ted was overreacting, it kinda reminded me of Dawsons Creek where Dawson wasnt with Joey but it was like he didnt want Pacey to be with her either, then Pacey got all the blame, they were both just feeling a bit weird about the situation and wanted someone to blame.

Ted was totally overreacting. And Barney was feeling bad enough about it as it is. I thought it was so unfair to him. Barney screwed up, and he tried to make it better the way he knew how and Ted just abandoned him like that. It wasn't cool, not at all.

The episode where Ted and Barney go to philadelphia was on tonight, it was the one where Ted realizes why he's friends with Barney cause he might not get to where he wants to go, but he'll always have a story afterwards :sigh:

Lucky for you it's the next episode on our rewatch! :lol: I just saw the episode now too, I love them together. I loved all the footage of Barney are the airport too from before, like when he came out of that back :lol:
