I know, but we should be lucky to have gotten what we got. Originally they weren't even going to introduce the mother until the final episode, so the writers were a bit more generous than they were going to be.

I've heard people say that Tracy was like a combination of Robin and Lily.

 I remember reading that way back whenBut I do agree that Tracy is a combination of both Lily/Robin so that plus the fact that the mother is amazing  makes her the ultimate woman for Ted__________________

I know that Ted didn't notice her until her performance at the wedding but he heard her singing and that was it. I am guessing if Barney had set it up he would have guessed Ted would have seaked her out then and there but it's just a hypothetical thing
