I did too the comedy scenes were the only consistently good scenes in the season. The emotional ones were all over the place. Remember the ghost of past Lily and her having a talk with Marshall?

OMG, yes. Present day Lily had to break it gently to past Lily that she wasn't into girl-on-girl action anymore.

Yeah that whole conversation was hilarious. It was a nice break from bitch Lily She was completely unreasonable about wanting to uproot her family and go to Italy

Yeah, but Marshall eventually did come around to the idea of living in Italy with her while she pursued her painting career. He even imagined himself walking through the streets of Italy wearing a white suit like Don Vincenzo from The Godfather Part II, remember?

Yeah, I remember now It was so frustrating too because the fight ended up being for nothing because immediately after Marshall broke down and decided that he just wanted her to pursue her dream which meant going to Italy with her and their family, Lily decides that they need to stay in NY to raise their children. Just a bit silly

Yeah, but I think that was the writers dragging that storyline out way too long because they had to give Marshall and Lily stuff to do while they extended the damn wedding thing that went on forever. And I also think that Alyson's pregnancy had something to do with the writers' decisions.

Yeah I hated that too that having the weekend of the wedding take place over the entire season meant a lot of boring side plots while Barney/Robin got most of the real story. Was she pregnant while filming? I didn't know that. The story tends to stagger a bit when an actor is pregnant or injured due to them having to work around it.

I think she was pregnant when Lily had her second child. Marvin "Wait For It" Eriksen. Or was it the daughter, Daisy? I don't remember now.

Yeah, I think that Lily did tend to be very negative when it came to Marshall and Ted, not so much Barney. But she was often critical of them and herself.

Yeah, I can't remember either It makes sense that they'd write it in for the character too

Yeah, as a character she had a tendency to pick and choose what she held against people and her judgements. I didn't like her character much so I'm not impartial anyways

Well, I liked Lily in the first season, but then as time went on I think the writers kept making her do things that didn't make much sense. But Alyson somehow made it all watchable.
