Joss directed the first episode of Angel, but after the first season he wasn't involved much. He got back to doing Angel in season 4 after Firefly got cancelled, though. __________________

I always liked that Angel was a darker show, but we got to see a funny side of Angel as well. As a character, there was a lot of depth and layers to work with.

Hey, Barbara? Crystal? Whenever either of you are able to do a Buffy watch just let me know and I'll schedule another one. __________________

That episode is Smile Time, and it's from season 5 of Angel, which was its final season. It was pretty hilarious. __________________

Smile Time was freaking hilarious, definitely one of the better ones of S5, cause most of that season was just plain odd.

I loved Smile Time. And I liked season 5. Joss Whedon came back to Angel after Buffy and Firefly got cancelled, so he wrote and directed several episodes. I loved the Angel/Spike dynamic in season 5.

Thanks for the article! A show based on The First Wives Club sounds interesting! I just wish they hadn't phrased it as Alyson entering her "TV Land" phase. That doesn't sound good.

It is such an awkward wording... though it's what tv actresses seem to do now, mainstream channels and then they end up there

Do you think she'd be a game of any renewal of some of her past shows?

It would be good to have them all come back. Willow would be an old frightening witch with warts on her face . It would be hard to explain the sudden ageing of Angel and Spike however

Hi, Barbara! Nahh, I'm too used to Willow being a sexy witch. Alyson is still pretty good. And I think David Boreanaz has aged pretty well.
