Welcome to our 200,000 Celebration Milestone celebration. I'm glad that I can share so many good moments and memories from the show with so many great fans and friends who came to the How I Met Your Mother board, and it has been my honor and privilege to be the co-moderator here. This is one of the most fun, active, and enjoyable boards on Fan Forum, and even though the show is over, I am happy and proud to continue to moderate here and celebrate our 200,000 post celebration with our gang of friends on the

I first began watching How I Met Your Mother because my co-moderator on The Borgias board, Arinna, was a fan of the show and got me into it. I hadn't watched the show prior to 2013 so we binge watched the first eight seasons together before the start of the final season in 2013. I quickly fell in love with the characters and the inventive storytelling structure, that reminded me of a cross between NBC's Friends and the BBC series, Coupling. After Friends went off the air, I was saddened because I felt the era of great sitcoms had ended with it, but I was surprised and glad that I found another show to fall in love with in How I Met Your Mother. While the final season may not have pleased or satisfied everyone, I found understood the story the writers were trying to tell, and while I felt it could've been done better, I still felt the ending lived up to the narrative the story had laid out from the beginning. I enjoyed tuning to see Ted, Robin, Barney, Marshall, and Lily every episode, and I was sad to have to say goodbye to the gang at MacLaren's bar when the show ended.~ Alex

I started stopping by this board a few months ago. I like to keep in touch with friends here. The Mods here are dedicated and also miss the show.
