Ah, thanks. That period is a blur for me because I wasn't really into that season much. Everything after season 5 was tough to get through.

But those last few seasons got a bit depressing for me, so that's probably why my memories of Zoey's storylines aren't as good as I wish they were.

I agree, Zoey does get too much hate from the fandom. I think it was because the entire show at that point was bad, not her. It would've been better if Ted had met her earlier, like a season after the whole Stella thing.

I think every show pretty much has an character that gets way too much hate from the fandom sadly.
