It's funny that I've always known they were gonna mess these two up (but erm, I never thought it could be because of Frick, more because of a Mini/Franky/Matty triangle that ended in tragedy lol) but I was 100% sure I could count on Hardlet as the saving grace and happy couple of S6 whose scenes I could just enjoy. Yep :blank:

I thought Grace and Rich could last, but with lots of troubles on the road, and I expected Franky was a heartbreaker but I'd never ever ever thought Matty woud've been left without episode in a love triangle between Franky and Nick :no:

Honestly I didn't think to see another death. I thought secondary roles died.

Yeah I thought Franky would break Mini's heart, Matty would go away for a while and Franky would end up alone out of Bristol. Which I guess happened in a way but well, good storytelling before getting to that point? They decided to skip that part :D

I remember when that girl told me apparently Grace was going to die and she had filmed scenes with her as a 'ghost' way before S6 aired, I thought she was kidding because Skins would never do that :lmao:

And when you understood Grace died? Before or after 6.1? I knew about the accident, because I had written the first part of the plot of episode 2, and when I had seen Matty's car I imagined in a fckng mess with Matty involved but I really thought Grace was fine because Jess Su told Grace wanted something new :goof:

The leaked trailer before 6x01, the one they showed in the special with Bryan Elsley. I thought '****, it's true then.' :blank: But I didn't know how. And then Jess used a past tense in one of her interviews and mentioned 'eternal love' and something among the lines 'she will help them grow up and accept reality' and I had no doubt, yep :violin:

Yeah, i wish they would have gave them a better storyline in s6. Matty and Franky had so much potential and i wont feel good about it until the get what they deserve, which is each other.

Nick really is the most one-dimensional character of skins, sad his brother had to be the only way he was even important in the story. He was just fwb with Franky. It came to the point where Franky knew Nick caught feelings which is why she didnt want to break his heart.

And I agree, Franky doesnt actually love Nick the way she loves Matty. Nick was just a temporary replacement and in my eyes, during the finale, Franky was telling Matty she needed to fix herself before she can be in a relationship with him. Probably based off the way she was acting in the series opener.

To me only Geoff Bussetil wrote Nick with a bit of deepness (5.05-6.06), in those episode there's struggle and a strong familiar bond with a personality very real, very "lovely". But in the rest of the episodes, like you said, Nick is pretty one-dimensional (the caring guy simple and funny) and sometimes bad-written, like in episode 6.9 (I liked 6.9 but not Nick), where he wants that Matty just disappears from his life in order to stay with Franky and beats up Matty because he didn't use "words" he liked. Not really the Nick we've seen in 6.6. Georgia Lester just closed in a positive note the chapter Nick, but in the finale he's not much different.

Matty's situation is different, he's always been a character who changed in every episode depending on the writer. His plot evolves from an impersonal point of view so he doesn't belong to any stereotype and to be a decent character in the scenes he's got he has to show constantly something.
