For the 10th thread I just want to remind myself why I love them so much

I love them because he finally compromised for her. Because they are so genuine, so real. He wants to make their life a story because she lives in Fairy Tales. Because he learnt Shakespeare for her. Because she loves him quite a bit. Because opposites attrack. And because he's still her metal man even if he cuts his hair.

I hope your laptop gets fixed. I know that darkness that you feel in your life when your computer gets sick. Its horrible!

The title is fantastic and it is completely true.

I am reading (slowly) the Skins novel and I love Alo/Rich as friends. They better not mess with that too much I have to say. Who here has read or is reading it?

I got into a little discussion with someone who is anti-Rich/Grace. Her arguments were that they're relationship was not developed that well. That by the time Episode 7 came it seemed unbelievable. I plan to respond to her but wanted to check back with TEAM HARDLET before I destroy her with words. What you think?

All the people that are anti-Hardlet say that they didn't have a developed relationship. Hell, Minky didn't have any romantical relationship and they have fans. Right? They didn't get the point, Rich & Grace are not like previous Skins couples, they were both virgins before, quite shy (even though I think Gracie is fierce deep inside

) and they discover each other, it's something new for them both. For the ones that read the book, you could see that Grace wasn't quite happy before Rich came along.
If people don't like this couple, you can't do anything about it. Let it be.

Yeah, I want to read the book so badly, but I already have a long list of books I want to read and I'm a really slow reader

This world really is a scary place.
Sadly, I can see where the "no development comments" start from, this series didn't do development well at all

I mean, poor Rich & Grace got together in the second episode and then they were almost forgotten until 5x07, and they were getting married by then

But how could that be a good enough reason for hating them? They're perfect for each other and like you said, other couples didn't even get a proper storyline in a comparison

I demand cohesive storylines for s6

This is quite true. I really like this.

And just to clarify the person who said this is my cousin so our arguments are always in good fun. So its not a horrible shipping war its just me giving her a hard time.

I simultaneously hate and love that they didn't develop Rich/Grace in Series 5. I loved it because if you develop it too much then usually it will be messed with in terms of cheating or messed up stuff. And I also like that it was subtle and that the way you can see the relationship developing is in the characters themselves. I mean Rich smiles a lot more than he did before. Tons more. He looks happy instead of his sulky self. Grace as well seems more confident to say "no" and stand up for herself. So the development that occurred was unsaid and told in a subtle way instead of being a dramatic in your face kind of deal.

I always argue even when the relationship is part of the storyline it still doesn't quite get developed and sometimes it can even be destroyed.

My hopes is that the relationship in Series 6 will be more explicit...with some drama to make it interesting...but that it lasts.

And yes if you read the book you do see Grace is not happy (feel really bad for her even) and even Rich...he rarely smiles...or laughs before Grace. The development happened you just have to be open to see it. Which is what I told my cousin who then told me I should be a lawyer or a psychology professor. She's just jealous I got the good looks of the family and the best taste in ships!

But yes there are people who Rich/Grace...but I would say more people like them than hate them. Can't please everyone!

I definitely think it is a good book to really understand certain personalities a bit more. And when I read the book I was like "ohh so that's why so and so was so mad". It is really good psychological background for the characters.

It even makes the Rich/Grace relationship even stronger in my opinion. Not due to interaction. But the people they were before they started dating. Its just really good background information really. So I definitely recommend reading just out of pure fascination with the characters. It is a pretty fast read (and I am not a fast reader myself!)

Hardlet shippers live the good life and we think the good thoughts. This is true.

I'm doing pretty good. Busy but good. I cannot wait for Summer to fully start for me. My school that I work with doesn't end till June 22nd!
