The opening is so pretty, it always gets me.

Yeah, the OP is absolutely beautiful. I especially love the three animations at the end...one of the best scenes all season

Yeah, I loved everything about it. When she entered the room, and they just sort of talked for a little bit without the snark or banter. They had an understanding. Then the joking kicked back in, and you could tell how much Cook really wanted to win that bet. Then Naomi finally gave in and kissed him (and I loved how they looked at each other when she pulled back)

Then, my favorite part, the ending. She didn't tell him rudely to "get the f off of her"...she just talked to him like a normal person. Everyone treats Cook so rudely sometimes and so he responds equally rudely. But Naomi spoke to him in a soft voice and told him that she wasn't up to it. Then he, politely backed off.

Then there was the "you're clever" line from Cook. It just proved that he didn't want to have sex with her just because she was hot. He wanted to be wtih her because she's funny, clever, and smart. And if she didn't want to have sex with him, then he was sure she had a good reason (he wasn't cocky or arrogant or mean).

Naomi then replied with the whole "you're nicer" line because she got to see a part of him that Cook rarely lets other people see. They shared, "a moment", and she kissed him on the cheek.

And, of course, they parted as friends with a better understanding of one another. They exchanged the whole playful "f you/ f you back" lines, and parted ways with a smile. I just love that they were able to be nice and cute with each other and still remain in character. The banter was still there, but it wasn't as venomous or shallow anymore. Instead, it was deeper.

I know the last time we saw them, Naomi had jumped on the "Cookie-hate train" but hopefully they can repair their friendship sometime early in S4. They would be so great together, because their dynamic is really fun and interesting.

Now I haven't watched that scene in a while, but I'm thinking it wasn't as bad as I remember (hoping ) because, I mean, you have to admit that it must have been scary to be out in the woods thinking poachers were after you and have someone play a prank that made you scared for your life... So I'm just going to go with the idea that it was all the fear and going along with everyone else by blaming him. I think Naomi would forgive him for that eventually once she gets the chance to calm down and remember he's got a nicer side.

I guess that does make sense, but I do really want to her remember his nicer, sweeter side as well, and would love to see at least a friendship develop between these two.

I agree with this. She doesn't really have anything personal against Cook, unlike Thomas or Pandora at that time, but it's understandable that she was frustrated with him for nicking their stuff and then sparking tension between everyone, so I think we'll easily see them communicating in S4. I'd also say the same for her and Effy as well, as her and Katie aren't the best of friends, so cracking her over the head would probably have the least negative effect on Naomi imo.

Haha yeah...I think I'll go with that too. Wishful Thinking FTW. But, really though, your idea does make sense.

Yeah, I really want her to remember it too. Hopefully she was just caught up in the moment during the woods scene, and once they return to school, her & cook will be back to their regular banter (with a touch of sweetness to it).
