Adam in N.Y.: Anything on Carter Baizen since Sebastian Stan's show Kings is kaput? Is he back on Gossip Girl? He's shady.
Kristen: Shady Carter is going to be hooking up with Serena! Yes, Serena van der Woodsen and Carter Baizen are going to try to make a go of it in season three of Gossip Girl. Forgive us if we're not optimistic about their long-term prospects.

MICKEY: Here's what Blake Lively told us about Serena's plans in the wake of being slapped with that paternal jaw-dropper. "She's thrown for this huge loop," she says. "There are a lot of things she's going to find out about her mother and about her background." In other words, Serena will not be heading to Providence in the fall... but she might not be in New York either.

Are Gossip Girl's Serena and Nate going to hook up anytime soon? — Jennifer
MICKEY: Methinks someone — cough, Jennifer, cough — is getting a bit stalkery with this question. At least initially, the answer is (still) no, as Serena and Nate will both be getting BIZ-AY with new love interests in the fall: S. will be courted by a prince among men, while Nate will be busy wooing this lady. (In case you were wondering, JoAnna Garcia will be busy asking herself, "I got canceled for this?")

Amy in Pittsburgh: So excited Gossip Girl is back in production! What can you tell us?!
Sorry, Hilary Duff haters, but Duff joins the Gossip Girl cast as movie star Olivia, and she'll be getting her movie-star cooties on the entire cast, not just Vanessa and Dan. Also on Gossip Girl this season, Chuck and Blair are totally getting married and having a million babies. (OK, not that, but they are staying tight. Yay!) And believe it or not, the show really is trending away from "Dan and Serena are the one true pairing of Gossip Girl." Certainly, that arc might turn back sometime in the future, but for now the show is trying to establish their separate identities, apart from their on-again, off-again shenanigans. TV Diva's Magic 8-ball says: It is decidedly so. We will finally meet Serena's dad this season on Gossip Girl.

Stan says that when his character Carter Baizen’s background is revealed, it will stir up some trouble among the Upper East Siders — and especially Lively’s Serena van der Woodsen.

“They are revealing his history and where he comes from,” says Stan. “His whole background involves Serena’s character and it’s different from the other relationships on the show.”

The third season of the series reportedly features Blake Lively's Serena character going to work for a publicity firm, while she will be foced to handle Banks's Ursula at a movie premiere.

OMG! Okay, I have a suggestion: since the polo field is supposedly July 4th or something (right? am I crazy?)
Maybe the polo field is where they hook up, and then Carter wakes up alone and is like "awesome?"

Like, maybe the polo is the flashback for all the characters, and the rest of the episode is the fallout?
Or... maybe not, lol. So many options.

But that kiss looks great! However, I hope that that they only deal with it in the first few episodes and then actually figure it out and he stays. If he's actually gone after 2.03 or 2.04, me would so cry.

And, yeah, I didn't expect Serena to be jealous. I like that they keep reiterating it, though. I can feel safe to concentrate on those story lines as individual stories and not props.

Carter is not gone. He was seen during 3.5 filming I believe. He is here to stay still for the moment.

Yes there was an article about carter being heavily featured in the first half of the season.

I personally think if the majority of CB fans fall for Carter and Serena they won't go back to DS. If they get the majority of the audience I think they will get Sebastian and make him stay. Its not like he would want to leave anyway.

The last time he was spotted filming was 304 and there was question if he was there to film or just there to visit Leighton.

he was wearing a suit. Sebastian never does.
And I didn't see EL filming 3.05 but I doubt they didn't

He was also wearing a wrinkled shirt, a chain around his neck and his face was unshaven....so it's all up for speculation I suppose. Doesn't matter to me at this point. For me Seb/Carter is another guest star and I have confirmation on that now.

I also read ED/Leighton were spotted filming for 305 from OLV......

but it is all relative at this point anyway.
