Watched Episode one , second episode is interrupted for me by my home football team playing at 8 o’clock ! holy moly Rossi with the attitude. No idea they were going to kill off his wife from the last season, before the new episode started. six watching the first two episodes I had a chance to read some interviews with Erica. So the story is pandemic A lot of people didn’t go see doctors unless it was urgent. Her story of put it off annual cancer check up , by the time she sees her doctor the cancer spread too fast. Don’t think that’s gonna be in the show

Pretty good start.
It was definitely interesting to hear the swearing! Kind of realistic and I can totally believe people in this field would swear when they get frustrated. I hope the show doesn't add swearing for the sake of swearing though. I hope we get more explanation about where Reid and Simmons are and what they're doing. Didn't really care for the Hotch-Prentiss office being turned into an exercise room. I was a little nervous going in about what to expect. The interviews and press made it seem like it would be very unsub heavy, and while there is a lot of unsub focus, it hasn't seemed like overkill yet and I feel like we've still gotten plenty of the team. I was also nervous what to expect of the team since the interviews and articles kept talking about how the team had kind of gone off and done other things since the show ended. I thought it was a bit sad to think that the original ended with the team (except Garcia) still together going to work only to have that all change shortly after the series ended. I was curious/nervous about how they would go about having the team get back together but I liked that they were still working as a team while doing other stuff, and the team dynamic and chemistry was still there. |

That Deputy Director annoyed me. The whole "break up the BAU" thing has been done to death. However, I think the concept of a serial killing network, or serial killers being affected by the pandemic was so fascinating. And I've really enjoyed the episodes so far. So I wish they had just stuck to that. They didn't need to add in another "someone's higher up is trying to break up the BAU" storyline. I was not expecting them to kill off Rossi's wife. Seeing him warm up TV dinners in a hotel room was so sad. __________________

Not going to lie, I was a bit sad we didn’t get the old theme song and opening credits.
Yeah, they sort of said Reid and Simmons were on other assignments and it’s up to them if/when they come back. Agreed that the higher ups in the FBI being against the team has been done a lot already and isn’t new. That deputy director was annoying. I wonder if he’ll just be a bad guy/antagonist in the way Strauss and Barnes were with how they would try to take down the BAU or if he’ll be an unsub level bad guy Seeing Rossi staying in a messy hotel room eating microwave dinners was sad, especially considering how much pride he took in his mansion and cooking. Just goes to show that major life changes and depressing life happenings can destroy a person |
