This is what I’d be doing on TV without writers: Episode 2. (it’s a ****ty show because nothing ever happens)
The writers strike continues. Writers continue to ask for fair pay and fair protections from a business that generates over 30 BILLION dollars a year.
When you relax into your favorite shows, get lost in a powerful film, get swept away by stories and tales and fables, when you can relate to amazing characters or fascinating scenarios or laugh your ass off, that comes from writing! Actors are a part of the delivery system but WRITERS make mountains from nothing.
You can find a link in our bio on how best to support the writers strike #wgastrong #wgastrike and follow @wgaeast @wgawest we’ll be joining the picket lines next chance we get.
“STAND WITH WRITERS
How to Support the WGA
Writers are facing the most comprehensive assault on compensation and working conditions that they have seen in a generation. The studios have taken advantage of the transition to streaming to underpay entertainment industry workers, including writers in every area of work. Like too many working people across our economy, as corporate profits grow, writers are just not keeping up.
Stand with the 11,500 WGA members who write and produce the TV and films that entertain the world!“
