At first I thought it was just going to be Adam and Kirsten there and I was thinking "Huh, usually the whole cast goes". Or at least it had been mostly everyone going to the TCA's the past few years. I know AJ didn't go last year because she was pregnant.

I love all the pictures, but at the same time I wish Thomas was there (and he probably would have been if he wasn't suspended).

Yes we can survive , i too want the series to make it to 300 ep . We are 257 episodes starting the new season ,if they do 23 episodes ,we end season 12 with 280 episodes . so a 20 episode final season 13 ..

Poor Adam

He worked on CSI Miami a serious for 10 years with a larger cast. Had to have been issues on set. David Caruso very high paid star i heard he had major issues on set. never facing his co stars directly in the face . So can't be the entertainment business as long as Adam has not have to deal with on set issues.

Yeah, I watched CSI Miami the entire time it was on air. I heard that David Caruso was difficult to work with. I'm sure Adam's dealt with his fair share of on set issues, but I don't know if any issues on CSI Miami or any of Adam's other projects would have started a few weeks on the job. Maybe. I just thought those posts were kind of funny because it's right off the bat and Adam just started and they're like "Welcome to Criminal Minds, Adam! Make some popcorn and have a seat!"

Plus, like you said, I'm sure Adam's dealt with or noticed his fair share of drama on work sets, but I'd think coming onto a successful 12 year show that has a pretty good reputation and is known to have a wonderful cast that all gels really well, and then all of a sudden all this drama is going on, it would be a little "whoa"

Adam did both magic mike movies , i am sure it was fun but him and everyone else had to get into great shape . Those movies had to physically draining , all the dancing being 3/4 naked all the time

Yeah we all assume it is a happy cast .no reason for it not to be . not a large cast .Simple storylines each week . 90% of the show is focused on catching solving murders . we usually get 5-6 min a week of personal team stories a week . so unlike other shows that 1/2 the story is about romance or family life ..

But like most of you i enjoy and miss not getting more stories on our team outside of work .

Last season the focus on morgan , season before big JJ storyline . more then our share of Hotch storylines . Emily had a big arc . reid kidnapped or issues with his eyes etc seeing the women he really liked gets killed in front of him huge stuff . rossi ex wife dying his friend as a ex marine army homeless .. Garcia shot almost dying was huge ..

always liked the team dinner at the end of the season . Or JJ wedding was very well done

Also, saw someone share this on Tumblr. It's a video of the cast at Paley Fest in 2011. It looks like it's the entire interview. I've only seen clips (Paget imitating Shemar) before, but really nothing else. I haven't watched all of it yet, but the few minutes I've seen so far were funny.

Is that from the shooting of the new opening credits? I always assumed they didn't take the pictures together.

Yes, it's from the photo shoot for the opening credits. They took the photos two weeks ago (2 days before Thomas was fired). Matthew shared a similar picture on Twitter and Instagram

They usually take the pictures together. There have probably been a few exceptions like in season 6 I'm sure they photo shopped Rachel in. And I think AJ was photo shopped into the season 1 photo as she wasn't a cast member until episode 2 and they probably took most of their photos around when they were filming the pilot. And Kirsten and Paget were photo shopped into the season 2 opening credits. But other than that I'm pretty sure they've taken the photos together.

So they usually take the photos together in front of a green screen.


I was just thinking recently about how the show has had so many changes over the years. I actually saw a photo the other day of the cast from the CBS UpFronts in 2005. And I was also looking at pictures of the cast from the TCA's. I realized Matthew was the only one in both the "then" and "now" photos and he's the only "original" cast member left. Technically AJ and Kirsten were in season 1 but Kirsten was a recurring member and she wasn't originally intended to be on for long/be as important, and AJ wasn't added to the cast until episode 2, so she didn't do the promotions at UpFronts and TCA's.
