I love this song and cannot wait to see what the rest of the album is like. Time moves slowly I find when I start looking forward to things and they always feel forever away.

The song is amazing!

shinebrighterxx 06-15-2018 02:19 AM

I'm sure it'll be here soon enough  :look: waiting is the worse though

Beautiful song

I wonder if we'll get a glimpse at the song list or get another song before September!

shinebrighterxx 06-15-2018 03:52 PM

I hope we at least get the song list :look: at least artists I listen to seem to be doing sneak peaks before the album is released which can be fun so maybe she'll do that? I'm on the fence about them though as I still like being able to get the album & listen to it all from the start without having heard things beforehand. But then I also like having new music  :look:

It's like spoilers for the TV/film world. lol

shinebrighterxx 06-15-2018 08:05 PM

Exactly   I kinda find them worse & harder to resist sometimes though . I was good with Kelly's last album, not sure if I'll be good for Carrie's if she releases anything before the album. I was terrible for Sugarland but that was more because it'd been too long since their last album so I needed everything - but they released the whole album to be listened to before its release so that just was too hard to resist. I hope Carrie doesn't do something like that as that's crazy. Little sneak peaks of the songs could be nice though

Do we know if she's finished working on the album?

a fine mess 06-15-2018 08:22 PM

Has she kept pretty quiet with past album releases? I haven't really followed closely so not sure as now I am moderator here so it's more on my radar and on my mind, if that makes sense. I've always known about the album releases after they release, not counting down or anything. Though I do remember a little before the Storyteller album since I was posting here, but was busy even then with things to really keep updated every step of the way. :P So don't remember. lol

Haven't heard anything about where she's at with her album.

Article from June 11th - Carrie Underwood Speaks Out About Her ‘Emotional’ New Album - sounds like she may still be in the process, not sure. xD

shinebrighterxx 06-15-2018 09:06 PM

I don't remember either as I haven't fully invested that time into it. I posted here more around "Blown Away" but that was more after its released than counting down to the release that I can remember. I was terrible for "The Storyteller" as I wasn't overly impressed by "Smoke Break" when I first heard it so then stopped paying attention

Thanks for that article :flowers: Its hard to tell. It says 'it took her 2.5 years to fully complete work on the album' so from that I presume its done but maybe she's still doing last minute things for it? They seem to be focusing on her fall but if she's been working on the album for over 2 years then it can't be inspired by just that. I'd say being a mother will have influenced the album since while Isaiah was born before "The Storyteller" was released I doubt it had much influence then. Then she would've experienced so much more as a mother since then too which probably has gone into this album. It sounds like its going to be more pure Carrie, pure emotion, less focused on commercial success going by that article. It'll be interesting to hear the difference in the sound. She may have even found herself more as an artist for this album?

a fine mess 06-15-2018 09:22 PM

I think I read it too quickly , and the going back in and doing the real version bit confused me. lol Of course don't understand the whole album making/producing process. :P So if she says it took her 2.5 years to complete work on this album, that must confirm she's done? Unless there are touch ups they do between now and the release. And you're right. If it took her over 2 years it shouldn't be really all be inspired by that. Sure there may be some songs inspired from it, but the fall wasn't that long ago. Yeah, love the sounds of it. :D

shinebrighterxx 06-15-2018 09:30 PM

Yeah that confused me too. I presume it meant she did demos of the songs & then went back in? Like on the Greatest Hits album we got demos from some of the songs while they were still working on them? I'm guessing right now there would only be touch ups but I have no idea . Maybe she's done her part, now they've got to put the album together? I have no idea about the process though or how an album is made

I'd say the fall may have influenced emotion for future performances more than many songs. Maybe Cry Pretty is from it, or maybe she had that song before it happened & it became so much more after the fall. But I doubt she's put together an album or could put together an album between the fall & now or the fall & the release date. But she could have a few songs inspired by it, but I'm going to presume it'll more have influenced the emotion for future performances of the songs on the album. But I'm also sure that all of her songs can change meaning for her at different points in her life

a fine mess 06-15-2018 10:04 PM

Could be. It's a team effort, as with most things. All that is left could be putting it all together. Who knows. lol Some songs are timeless and can mean different things at different moments. That article did focus on her fall as her possible inspiration, but so has a lot of articles. I found it funny at first, how everyone made such a big deal about it, but now it just seems a little rude. And invasive. I'm sure Carrie wants to move past it, not be reminded all over the Internet. It's literally like every new article. Has something about her fall. We get it already. xD
